Hello! Thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia, and in particular for adding references, as you did toUnited States Naval Sea Cadet Corps! However, adding abare URL is not ideal, and exposes the reference tolink rot. It is preferable to use propercitation templates whenciting sources, including details such as title, author, date, and any other information necessary for abibliographic citation. Here's an example of a full citation using the{{cite web}} template to cite a web page:
Lorem ipsum<ref>{{cite web|title=Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac|publisher=Canon Inc|work=Ask a Question|date=2022|url=https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART174839|access-date=2022-04-02}}</ref> dolor sit amet.
which displaysinline in the running text of the article as:
and displays underReferences as:
If you've already added one or more bare URLs to an article, there are tools available to expand them into full citations: in thewikitext editor, try thereFill tool, and in theVisual Editor, thereference dialog can convert some bare urls into a full citation.Once again, thanks for adding references to articles.EducatedRedneck (talk)01:51, 11 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently editedCheyenne Mountain High School, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pagesKRDO andCHSAA. Such links areusually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles.(Read theFAQ • Join us at theDPL WikiProject.)

Hello, and thank you foryour contributions toWikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article,Pikes Peak granite. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments belong on the article's accompanyingtalk page. If you post your comments there, othereditors working on the same article will notice and may respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article.Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you.
