So your telling me if a terrorist is arrested it's not a terrorist incident? All of you have got it wrong just because people never listed arrests in the older list's doesn't mean they can't be listed in 2010, but I'm not listing anything on that page anymore, there is not co-operation whatsoever and usually always arguments. Eritrea-Ethiopia border skirmish

[edit]

May I suggest that you withdraw your proposed deletion of this article? Its clear that your proposal will not pass consensus, and you are wrong: It is not a claim made solely by Eritrea: Ethiopia states that 25 Eritrean soldiers were killed in a rebel attack, and that this was a cover-up by the Eritrean goverment, so its clear that something happened over there. Ah, well, nothing new in the horn of Africa.--RM(Be my friend)03:32, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The DYK police didn't like the 252 number as it differed from the BBC number. I found two reportshere andhere that say it was 250 which is probably an estimate. So I suggested another ALT that says around 250. What do you think?--Esemono (talk)09:38, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Action of 30 March 2010

[edit]

Ive created a basic shell for the article. It seems to be one of the largest actions against the pirates so far. It looks like the seychellian vessel engaged a captured dhow in combat, sunk it and rescued the crew. Then on the way back to port it was attacked by 3 more pirate vessels, sunk two of them and then finally made it back to port. Feel free to expand it. I'm busy today but will likely work on it a great deal tommorow.XavierGreen (talk)21:44, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It also seems to be the first naval action ever fought by the seychelles which in itself would be notable.XavierGreen (talk)21:45, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Neo-Nazism in Croatia

[edit]

Hi. Regarding your recentedit to this article, I'd like to note, first, that one of the pictures in question has been nominated for deletion on commons (by me) and that the request remains to be dealt with. If you object to its deletion on commons, the appropriate thing to do would be to take up the issue there. In my judgment, those pictures of non-notable individuals (including two children) are patently unethical and there is no case for their restoration - we don't want to create a situation where someone can say to either child, "Oh, you're that neo-Nazi Croatian kid with his picture on Wikipedia". Second, please note that your edit undid two of my edits to the article, and that one of them had nothing to do with the pictures. This edit simply changed the article to be consistent with the manual of style, and if you look through the article's history you'll see that its main effect was to undo an earlier change of mine and restore the wording to what it was before.UserVOBO (talk)00:26, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Following up on the above warnings, I've just conducted some random checks of your recent edits and have found that a high proportion of them are text copied and pasted with no or only minor changes from news websites. This is totally unacceptable and you have been warned previously against this behaviour. Example diffs are:[1],[2],[3],[4]. These are from just the last few days, and in light of the warnings you've received for this over the last few months I've got no doubt that there are many more. As you cannot be trusted to not violate copyright I've set the block duration to indefinite.Nick-D (talk)10:23, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Hajduk-jugend.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploadingFile:Hajduk-jugend.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under theCC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (seethis list)at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication topermissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letterhere. If you take this step, add{{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email topermissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria atWikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as{{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed atWikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add arationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. SeeWikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Eritreafiring.jpeg

[edit]

Thank you for uploadingFile:Eritreafiring.jpeg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required byWikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available fromWikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as animage copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with ourcriteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at themedia copyright questions page. Thank you. --Stefan2 (talk)22:51, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
