Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mohamed Bentiba

[edit]

Hi, the articleMohamed Bentiba was deleted, however, three users voted forKeep against two users who voted forDelete. I can know reason please ? Best regards. --Fayçal.09 (talk)14:32, 29 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The reason is, as I noted in closing: " Nobody in this AfD cites specific reliable in-depth coverage establishing notability." Sandstein17:48, 29 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
However, the websites listed on the page were reliable. He played several seasons in the Algerian Ligue 1 and played for one of the biggest clubs in the country and on the continent; in addition, he has been selected for the national Olympic team. --Fayçal.09 (talk)02:02, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sporting accomplishments are not the same asWP:GNG-compliant sources. You would have needed to cite specific reliable sources in the AfD and explain how they meet GNG. Sandstein08:12, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I think all these websiteEl Heddaf[1],Radio Algeria[2],Eurosport[3],Liberté[4] ,DZfoot[5],Compétition[6]...etc are reliable.
Mohamed Bentiba was an international footballer who played with thenational olympique team and also withAlgeria A' national team (La Gazette du Fennec,FAF official website "archives"). --Fayçal.09 (talk)11:52, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well, these sources were not cited in the AfD, which is now closed. Sandstein16:09, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Some of them were cited in the article, for the rest of the sites, I needed time to add them. This article exist in many languages in Wikipedia, I hope that it will be restaured please. Regards. --Fayçal.09 (talk)22:15, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, the AfD is over and I decline. Sandstein22:32, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello Sandstein, I noticed that you are the main author of the article onPaul Laband. I've worked on translating the it.wiki article on the subject, which I wrote a few years ago. You can find it inthis sandbox. Would it be OK with you if I replaced the existing version with this new one? Any suggestions for improvement are welcome.Gitz (talk) (contribs)02:45, 2 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Henry Stickmin

[edit]

Hello Sandstein. Could you please unsalt this entry and move it do draftspace? I would like to work on it. It's been several years since it was deleted and salted and there has been media coverage in the interim. Are the past deleted versions different from one another? If so could Insee the different versions? Thanks.FloridaArmy (talk)14:56, 14 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

There is alreadyDraft:Henry Stickmin, which was rejected in 2024. Try to improve that draft first and get it accepted atWP:AFC. Sandstein17:49, 14 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
