Hello, I hope you’re doing well.I would like to kindly ask for your help regarding an article that had been on Wikipedia for several years, but was recently deleted following a personal threat made via Instagram. I have addressed the previous issues that led to the deletion—particularly copyright concerns—and revised the article accordingly.
The article is about Ali Tajdari, a globally recognized actor, singer, and martial arts champion. There are numerous sources (possibly over a thousand news, sports, and entertainment websites) that cover him. He is a verified figure on platforms like Spotify, IMDb, and Instagram, and is considered an influential personality among Iranian communities. Naturally, this also means he has many detractors.
All I ask is that you, as an experienced and neutral Wikipedian, kindly take a look at the revised version of the article. If you find it meets Wikipedia’s guidelines, I’d appreciate your support in restoring it to the main article space.
Given your significant experience in preserving and improving quality articles on this platform, I kindly ask you to review an article I recently edited.
Notably, this article had been on Wikipedia for several years but was flagged for copyright violations. In response, I completely rewrote the article from scratch.
Firstly, I ensured the content was entirely original.
Secondly, I rewrote the article in a neutral tone.
Thirdly, I removed dead or unreliable links and added several new citations from reputable news sources.
Fourth, I corrected writing issues and improved the overall structure and style to meet a more professional and encyclopedic standard.
The article concerns a notable and influential public figure whose coverage meets Wikipedia’s notability guidelines. Therefore, I believe the article is worth preserving.
If, upon your review, you find the article appropriate for restoration, I kindly request that you consider protecting it to prevent further vandalism or disruptive editing, by restricting general editing access.
Hello, I hope you’re doing well and having a pleasant day.
I sincerely apologize for the repeated messages, but I am reaching out once more regarding the article on Ali Tajdary, which has unfortunately been declined again. I would like to respectfully clarify a few important points:
First, no clear reason has been mentioned for the article’s rejection, other than the standard template response typically used for declined submissions.
Second, it is stated that the references lack full explanation. However, all the sources are based on full, neutral media coverage. Most of these are in Persian, which may be difficult for English-speaking editors to fully assess, but they are legitimate and verifiable sources.
Third, the article had existed on Wikipedia for several years before being removed after a certain Instagram conflict. This raises the question: if it was not due to hostility or bias, then what was the actual reason for its removal?
Fourth, when the article was first moved to draft, it was due to copyright issues. I have completely rewritten the text, resolving that concern, and I have also removed broken or unreliable links. There should be no valid reason for this article to be declined again.
Fifth, Ali Tajdary is a highly influential public figure in Iran, known as a multi-disciplinary celebrity. Each of his career paths justifies notability:
As a singer, he has over 15 years of experience and has performed nationally recognized works.
As an actor, he has played lead roles in films and television series broadcast on major Iranian networks.
Most importantly, he has been a member of Iran’s national martial arts team for 11 years, and is a world champion in kickboxing and VASKO, with over 200 professional and amateur MMA fights.
The majority of Iranian people are familiar with him. When you consider all these elements together, it becomes clear that he meets the notability criteria for inclusion on Wikipedia.
A very important point is that most references are from Iranian news agencies, which may make it difficult for English-speaking reviewers to fully verify. However, here are several reliable references for your review:
👆🏻 For example, this isManzoom, which is the most reliable database for Iranian actors.
👆🏻This article is from an English-language website that profiles Iranian celebrities and their activities.
👆🏻This is his IMDb page, and as you know, listing on IMDb requires verified credits and reference submissions.
👆🏻This source is from a recognized news outlet and provides full coverage of his championship in international competitions.
👆🏻This article is from Rokna, one of Iran’s 18 major official news agencies, covering a viral event involving him and a controversial fight.
👆🏻This one is from an independent sports news agency that provides a detailed report of his third world championship and prize.
There are thousands of additional sources, but I have limited it to these major ones to keep the submission concise.
Please review the article again, and if it meets your standards, kindly consider protecting the page. Due to his fame—and unfortunately, the many adversaries he has—there is concern over future edits driven by bias or vandalism.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Here are several well-known Iranian news agencies and websites that have covered Ali Tajdary’s competitions and achievements. Based on Wikipedia guidelines, when an article has this volume of references from credible sources, it should be considered noteworthy and reliable:
Hi, I am very new to Wikipedia, and just joined out of curiosity. How should I start editing, what language do you edit wikipedia, where can I learn the basics? --Franz Zed (talk)21:38, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
Hi. This is the English Wikipedia, although we can translate articles from other languages eg:Parc Henri Matisse. The best way to start editing is to find existing articles that have either got typos or mistakes or language you think could be better, andfix it.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)07:46, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
Hi Ritchie! I noticed that youfully protectedBrazilian Portuguese after the edit warring there, but as far as I could see I don't think any of the involved editors are extended-confirmed. I was wondering if you would be open to lowering the protection level to EC only for now to allow normal editing?Sophisticatedevening🍷(talk)22:47, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
The protection has now expired, so I think this issue is stale. If people keep edit warring on the page, the next action will probably be blocks.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)06:30, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
Hello, a little late to the party but I'm a bit frustrated with your close here - the deletion rationale wasWP:LASTING, which I clearly refuted with substantial sources far in time from the incident, but your deletion rationale seems like you vote counted and then decided to split the difference instead of engaging with the arguments presented. Would you mind terribly taking another look? Thanks~SportingFlyerT·C21:09, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
I don't really see anything that changes my view on the outcome to redirect. As I said, the views to keep and delete seemed roughly equal in my view; although you refuted this, editors counter-refuted it too. So the redirect seems a reasonable compromise that doesn't stray too far from everyone's view.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)08:10, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
Hello,You deleted the "One-Shot Elites" page. OSE is an international hacking organization that is extremely important to today's modern society. You left the excuse: "Article about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject".
You did not have to delete it. If you thought that the article needed to highlight the importance more, you could have contacted me or any other OSE member. Right now OSE is very mad, and I'm worried you might get hacked.
I ask you to restore the page before this situation escalates, I have had personal experience with One-Shot Elites (OSE), and they have some of the world's top-notch hackers. They're not the kind of kids that install cheats in video games, they're not playing around. This is not a threat from me, but a warning to stay on guard, I guess?
I'll let other admins decide what to do with your account, but I'm going to say this - "some of the world's top-notch hackers" are people likeRichard Stallman,Linus Torvalds,Ken Thompson,Mark Zbikowski,Dennis Ritchie andSteve Wozniak, all of whom use theirreal names. And asEric S Raymondeloquently put it, "Real hackers call these people ‘crackers’ and want nothing to do with them. Real hackers mostly think crackers are lazy, irresponsible, and not very bright, and object that being able to break security doesn't make you a hacker any more than being able to hotwire cars makes you an automotive engineer. ..... If you want to be a cracker, go read the alt.2600 newsgroup and get ready to do five to ten in the slammer after finding out you aren't as smart as you think you are."Ritchie333(talk)(cont)11:01, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
And for those interested, the article (with no sources) as deleted read as follows:
One-Shot Elites (OSE) is a professional hacking organization of around 40 members in their prime. they are headed by the Grand Council of 7.
Plague (Founder)
Immortal (Leader)
Unspeakable (Advisor)
Icery (Right-hand)
Stinger (Left-hand)
Starfall (Exploiter)
Visual (Enforcer)
They have developed two hacking softwares, called "The Experiments, and "Zues' Wrath". One-Shot Elites was started on Scratch, but has since spread to websites all over the internet.
They have fought 4 big cyberwars, and numerous small ones, with them only losing 1. After losing to the ST (Scratch Team) in their first major cyberwar on Scratch, they shrunk to around 30 members. They won the second war against the ST, with almost zero losses. Then the civil war, which split OSE in four. The number of their members has since shrunk to just over 20. The third cyber war with the ST resulted in a stalemate. Various OSE members' wifi and IP have been banned by the ST as a result. "One-Shot Elites" is now a semi-banned word in Scratch, with projects and studios being removed if you have it.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)14:03, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
Wow, love the worldbuilding. I would read a book about the great cyberwars. In all seriousness, I'm glad that I wasn't on public fora when I was a teenager so I couldn't do stuff like this.Weirdguyz (talk)16:01, 9 July 2025 (UTC)

Hello Richie333..I would like to know if I could draft an article from scratch by using smart phone, thank youI'm Genz2030. --Genz2030 (talk)16:25, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
Kafka's birthday again, 12 years after the one with the Google doodle. I admire the flowers for blooming although it looks dry. It took a week to getthe composer of Mission: Impossible to the main page. Theconcert I listened to was remarkable, pic added to the performer. When I wroteher story yesterday, I thought of you, but was too tired to deliver ;) - Also a late nod to Erik Satie, - there was no room for him on Wikipedia's main page on the centenary of his death although I tried three times. --Gerda Arendt (talk)18:53, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
I personally wouldn't worry about trying to get stuff on the main page. I did once say that "DYK should probably be taken outside and shot" and I do sort of feel that way some of the time. A good reason for DYK is if you've written a new article and want a peer review - the crucial thing here is if the review recommends against being put on the main page, but the article is still improved, that's still a positive action for the encyclopedia. I felt a bit browbeated after I recommended against puttingBonnie Blue andBelle Delphine on the main page.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)09:42, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
Well, for years I got facts there, but for last five years, the tendency is strongly towards the quirky and sensational aspects of subjects, rather than achievements. But the main page also has ITN and OTD, and in both corners reviewing is easier, and facts more important than quirks. - Check out my talk, - if you have little time, listen toGilda Cruz-Romo (ITN) in the final scene of Aida, if you have more read her article, and if you have still more check outmy music, some sung with me in choir, some played by friends, all heard with friends. --Gerda Arendt (talk)16:05, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
Hello, it seems that per thisdiscussion you, in effect, deleted (by altering the article to a redirect)List of municipalities in Missouri when the aforementioned discussion to mergeList of cities in Missouri into List of municipalities in Missouri was met with no consensus. It seems that discussion could have only resulted in no changer (two parallel articles), or the closure of the List of Cities (and presumablylist of villages) and their integration into List of Municipalities (since municipalities encompass both). As the primary creator of the List of Municipalities, I acted (as I described in mydiscussion comment), based on themerge suggestion that was formerly on top of the list of cities page. The list of municipalities article, matched that of other states and had the most up-to-date information with the only shortcoming being the lack of formatting niceties (like county seats being distinguished and population change coloration).
Basically, I think the effective deletion of the List of municipalities in Missouri article should be reversed because a no-consensus vote on the deletion/merging of the List of cities in Missouri article should have had no bearing on whether the List of municipalities in Missouri article would be deleted and because the municipalities article (with the updated formatting and proper merging from the cities and villages article would be a better, more consistent with other states, article for Wikipedia. I personally can make the formatting updates (now that I know how to do it) and would appreciate if you reverse your decision. Thank you!SamuelNelsonGISP (talk)17:50, 26 July 2025 (UTC)
I acted on the comment atTalk:List of municipalities in Missouri#Merger proposal that said a merger had been "completed". A completed merger means only one page remains, so I finished the process by redirecting the lower quality one into the higher quality one. I have no particular interest in these articles and anyone can feel free to undo, switch around, reformat, etc.Thebiguglyalien (talk)🛸18:20, 26 July 2025 (UTC)
I closed the discussion as "no consensus", noting specifically there was not a consensus to delete anything, and a decision on whether to keep the article or merge it could be done without any administrator involvement.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)10:33, 28 July 2025 (UTC)
HiGood afternoon from South Korea.I have uploaded a photo on the wiki commons . How to find that photo to link it in the wikipedia-page. --Umz-wiki (talk)05:37, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
Regarding your close ofWikipedia:Articles for deletion/Usenet II (2nd nomination), I agree that the consensus was to keep. What I'm puzzled by is your addition of "without blowing up and starting again". The current article is almost 100% unsourced. How can we keep that text? I've seen this pattern before; we have an article that's crap, people find sources at the AfD which lead to the article being kept, but then nobody actually does anything about fixing up the article. That appears to be what's going to happen here and it doesn't seem like a positive outcome.WP:V saysAny material that needs an inline citation but does not have one may be removed, but if I did that, it would leave about one sentence, which would be contrary to your close. So I'm unsure how to proceed.RoySmith(talk)12:47, 3 August 2025 (UTC)
The "blowing up and starting over" would be deleting the article and waiting until somebody wrote a new revision of it, based on sources. As it was though, people thought that they could take the article, add sources, clear up any unverifiable content, and be left with a higher quality article. However,it's never been policy to mandate quality of articles and we can't force people to improve the encyclopedia by executive fiat.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)08:11, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
Hello, I'm trying to establish a page on myself and my career in film, music, TV and radio. I understand that this is frowned upon. My projects and achievements are easily verifiable. How would you advise I continue?Best wishesJohnny --Johnnysekuad (talk)10:24, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
The best advice I can give you is to readthis advice that says why an article about yourself on Wikipedia is not necessarily a good thing. If your achievements are verifiable and turn up in multiple sources, it's likely somebody will create an article about it.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)13:04, 7 August 2025 (UTC)
This looks like it should belong somewhere else on the internet, rather than a general purpose encyclopedia. Have you considered publishing it on something likeMedium? That's worked well for things I've written about that don't fit the remit of an encyclopedia.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)07:48, 11 August 2025 (UTC)
I want to begin writing wikipedia pages on professional and notable people in Uganda. How can I do this successfully? --Hollyness (talk)23:44, 11 August 2025 (UTC)
I went into edit and deleted all that was there and started another article. There does not seem to be any way to save the text. If I leave the page all is lost. --Scissormove (talk)22:58, 11 August 2025 (UTC)
Do you mind if I just repeat what I already said on the author's talk page?
"The reason I declined this draft is that it cites two sources, one of which is authored by the subject himself, and this is not enough to establish notability per the generalWP:GNG guideline. And with only one independent (presumably) source, cited against the opening sentence of the draft, almost the entire content is left unsupported by reliable and independent sources"
I'm not saying that theReference Book is unreliable, I'm saying that the draft isn't adequately supported by reliable sources.
I should probably also add that theprimary reason for declining was the insufficient evidence of notability, rather than the referencing per se. It's just that the AFCH script doesn't respect the order in which I select the reasons, it puts them in the order it wants to.
MadelynnSienna I want to clear up a few things. Neither you or Robherry is banned (in terms of Wikipedia policy); rather you were bothblocked because yourepeatedly reverted each other, and those edits were getting in the way of several other editors who wanted to contribute toThe Life of a Showgirl (and have now done so). I have warned Robherry about civility, and that seems to have done the trick, so I don't feel like any further action is required. The block will automatically expire in a couple of days; as you have both seen, there are other articles available to work on in the meantime.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)15:44, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
I see the report is still open after two days. To be honest, I'm tempted to close it as "stale" as there doesn't appear to be any behaviourright now where a block would be appropriate. I'll see what happens over the next day or so.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)08:22, 18 August 2025 (UTC)
Hope all is well with you! Just a quick note about the nextBrighton meetup has been arranged for Saturday 6th September: rather short notice due to clashing commitments on other dates for the regulars. Hope you can make it. Cheers,Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!)13:49, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
I've just noticed the page removal from you for this song; my own edits were separately including this in the Wednesday (tv series) article. Its becoming evident to me now that the music video for the song is to be directed byTim Burton and that its coming out in one week on September 3rd. 'Directed by Tim Burton' usually means that this would normally be notable as a Wikipedia article[1]. What's the best recommendation from you for me to do as the editor of the Music section of the tv series; leave this information out, or, bring back the article after the release of the Tim Burton music video next week. It seems to satisfy notability under regular conditions.ErnestKrause (talk)23:31, 28 August 2025 (UTC)
Thanks for your replies on the draft talk page. Personally, I think the gatekeeping from the main space is unnecessary, but I'll willing to be patient for a few days. ---Another Believer(Talk)19:28, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
HiAnother Believer; I'm sort of agreeing with Ritchie on this: "when the song gets released" is going to be on September 3rd which does not seem that far away. Once its released in both the Tim Burton soundtrack for Wednesday, and the Tim Burton music video for the song, then it should be appropriate to go to main space as being notable.ErnestKrause (talk)19:36, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
Today's story - short version: ten years ago we had a DYK about a soprano who sang in concerts with me in the choir, - longer: I foundtoday a youtube ofan aria she sang with us then, recorded the same year, - if you still have time: our performances were the weekend before the Iraq war ultimatum, and we sangDona nobis pacem (and the drummer drummed!) as if they could hear us in Washington. --Gerda Arendt (talk)14:52, 18 August 2025 (UTC)

Hi FriendAs this is my first listing, I have written about a UK Disabled Entrepreneur, Shane Bratby. Could you check to see if the listing is all ok, while I gather all the cites, please? --DsabledEnt (talk)09:47, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
It looks like the draft got deleted per themisuse as a web host criteria, which seems both harsh and incorrect - trying to create an article isexactly what Wikipedia aims are and not what that criteria should be used for. That said, the best thing to do is start with independent sources that talk about Shane Bratby in some depth. Here's one from the BBC which seems a good start - we just need more like this to be able to write an article around it.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)21:34, 4 September 2025 (UTC)

Hi, I’m confused about this page. I don’t see anything saying to use a certain dialect like I’ve seen on other pages, so I don’t know how to edit it. For example, behavior is spelled with a u, but I don’t know if that’s because they’re Canadian or Australian or British… The two people mentioned and American, so that just confuses me more. How do I know what dialect is being used? --Cherubees (talk)01:26, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
Running from October 1 to 31, 2025, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) editathon event with the themeWhat Women Do! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least31 different occupations or professions (or broader roles in society) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.
The best advice is -don't. Have a look at improving an existing article on an unrelated topic first, before trying to write a new one, to gain experience in understanding how Wikipedia works.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)08:10, 21 September 2025 (UTC)
Battle for Dream Island Wiki Protection
Back in 2022, you protected Battle for Dream Island from getting a wiki, due to notability issues. There are now news articles about it, as it collaborated with AMC Theatres to provide a theatrical release of its upcoming episode. I'd say, as long as people cite their sources correctly, the page should be allowed to be created.2603:6080:D23D:B1EA:3995:B03D:41F1:794E (talk)21:28, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
