20 January is the 100th birthday ofDavid Tudor (see my story) and the 300th birthday of Bach's cantataMeine Seufzer, meine Tränen, BWV 13, if we go by date instead of occasion as he would have thought, so see my story for last Sunday, and celebrate ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk)20:00, 20 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Look forWind of Change in music, and a musician namedRichie, and for vacation in places. The story is abouta unique Bach cantata that relates toa current DYK nom. --Gerda Arendt (talk)22:42, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question fromEssexKarim (12:08, 26 January 2026)

[edit]

Hey mate, i wanted to create a new page for "Bubble Up Economics" are you able to advise how this is possible please? The article wizard isnt helping me very much! --EssexKarim (talk)12:08, 26 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

What's the specific problem you're having? In general, it's better to try and improve a few existing articles first before writing a new one.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)14:01, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question fromBobby legend 2024 (17:54, 26 January 2026)

Which page do you want to create? What sources do you have for it, and have you considered adding the information in an existing article first?Ritchie333(talk)(cont)14:01, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Phil Lynott

[edit]

Hi, I noticed this edit[2] on thePhil Lynott article, and I wasn't hugely keen on it. Any of it, really. I know you wrote a lot (or all) of this, so I thought I'd get your opinion before reverting his whole edit. It just doesn't look like an improvement at all, and some of his wording is poor. Cheers,Bretonbanquet (talk)22:25, 27 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, sorry I've been away for a few weeks. Probably the best thing to do (if you haven't already done it) is to followWP:BRD and revert to see if that gets a discussion.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)15:55, 15 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question fromPspinfosol (05:38, 28 January 2026)

Question fromEelDud (17:59, 29 January 2026)

[edit]

Hello, Ritchie. Due to the surge of AI recently, is there any risk of Wikipedia becoming less relevant or even obsolete? --EelDud (talk)17:59, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

That's a good question. Personally, and I do wonder if I'm in a minority in this now, that I think of AI more as "artificial stupidity" in that it can create long winded, seemingly plausible text, that on closer inspection like an expert, is factually incorrect.
What has definitely happened from 10-15 years ago, is back then you would do a Google search for a term and get back the Wikipedia entry as one of the first hits. Nowadays, you just get an AI answer which may, or may not, be correct. So Wikipedia is definitely becoming more of a niche and going back to its original aim as a general-purpose encyclopedia for a broader introduction to a topic, rather than a catch all place to find a date of birth or roles an actor has played.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)15:59, 15 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Digital Eel games "List of indie game developers" entry deleted?

[edit]

Hi Ritchie. Maybe you can help. I'm mystified.  ; )I just tried to post a listing for the indie game developer "Digital Eel" on the "List of indie game developers" page. It was up for a while and then got pulled. Why?https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_indie_game_developersI have an additional question but if you would, let's try to work this out first. Thanks!Wigandbean (talk)22:09, 1 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Looking atthe revert in question, it appears that consensus on that article is that we only include developers who have an individual article that already exists.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)16:00, 15 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question fromDiana M Cunningham (01:38, 4 February 2026)

[edit]

Hi Ritchie333. I've added more citations to the draft page for Marius George Linguraru. I have added three citations to the Career section to confirm that Linguraru is a Faculty Member at George Washington University and also to the confirm that the Children's National Hospital in Washington DC where he is a principal investigator and holds a research chair, is ranked in the top 5 hospitals in the United States. Do you think I've addressed the concerns regarding his qualifications? What's the next step to get approval? --Diana M Cunningham (talk)01:38, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question fromKingsbury26 (23:52, 4 February 2026)

[edit]

I think I made an edit but an issue popped up and I'm not sure it went through --Kingsbury26 (talk)23:52, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The edit wasn't accepted because it tripped up anedit filter; basically anything to do with Jeffrey Epstein can be considered controversial and should be edited only with care.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)16:02, 15 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Is it still possible to include my edit?Kingsbury26 (talk)16:51, 15 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question fromTroy3digit (17:38, 10 February 2026)

[edit]

How to get my profile link or bio link as artist --Troy3digit (talk)17:38, 10 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The best answer is don't - start off by expanding an existing article first, with new sources of information, rather than trying to write a new one.Ritchie333(talk)(cont)16:03, 15 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
