Need Help With An Article

[edit]

Hi Prince Erebor,I hope you’re doing well. I really appreciate the review you wrote on the article I submitted. From your feedback, it seems the main issue with the article is the references I’ve included. Most of the sources I was able to find relevant to the subject are from Baidu Baike.I’ll work on finding more reliable and diverse sources to improve the article. I would truly appreciate your assistance and guidance in making it strong enough for publication.Thank you so much for your time and support!CHIBEZA17 (talk)10:13, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • HeyCHIBEZA17, that is right. Most of the sources currently in the draft are either primary sources related to the awards or companies associated with the topic, or they come fromBaidu Baike, which is not a reliable source. You might try looking for news articles or book coverage on the subject. Feel free to reach out to me here once you have completed the rewrite. I would be happy to take a look. —Prince of EreborThe Book of Mazarbul16:24, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Prince of Erebor, i have made the edits to the article, if you have the time you can review the draft. will very much appreciate your feedback.CHIBEZA17 (talk)13:25, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
HiCHIBEZA17, I took a look at the first ten sources of the article, and I do not believe the issues with the previous nomination have been resolved. All sources except for source 2 focus on Duan's company or the awards she received, with minimal mention of her, while Source 2 is anWP:INTERVIEW. Besides, much of the article is unsourced. (Please seeWP:INLINE) If these are the best media coverage available for the subject, I am concerned that she may not have enoughnotability for a Wikipedia article at this time. —Prince of EreborThe Book of Mazarbul14:03, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Nana (entertainer, born 2001)

[edit]

Could you please review this:Draft:Nana (entertainer, born 2001)Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️07:46, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

HeyBtspurplegalaxy, I believe this is the first time we have a conversation, so nice to meet you! I reviewed the article and have some reservations about whether the subject currently has enough individual notability for a standalone article. She has not made her solo debut, and her appearances on television shows likeQueendom Puzzle are alongside her groupmates, which does not demonstratesufficient individual notability. I know she has appeared in a couple of web series, but none of those have standalone articles at this time, which might suggest only a very marginal pass on notability. But since she has not made any additional appearances sincethe article's AFD in September 2024, which resulted in a redirect, and given that the consensus during that discussion was that her appearances were still insufficient for individual notability, I am afraid there are not enough new individual activities to override that conclusion just yet. I would be happy to accept the draft if she releases a solo single or appears in a few more notable TV series individually in the near future! Cheers and happy editing! —Prince of EreborThe Book of Mazarbul08:22, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for taking the time to review it—I really appreciate your feedback. I'll see what I can do with the draft moving forward, considering that Nana isn't currently engaged in solo activities.Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️23:16, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You are welcome,Btspurplegalaxy! I appreciate the effort you have put into this article too (as well as so many other K-pop articles). It is definitely not about your editing; the issue is with notability that traps the article in draftspace. In the meantime, perhaps we can sit back and wait for Nana to advance her own career to a point where she achieves sufficient individual notability. Cheers! —Prince of EreborThe Book of Mazarbul14:05, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming an article

[edit]

Hello Prince of Erebor, thank you for taking a look at and editing the article for Isaac Hong. I was just enquiring about the rename from Isaac Hong to Hong Isaac. While I understand that in traditional Korean names the family name comes first, Isaac is considered an overseas Korean meaning he follows the last name system wherein his given name comes first. This is reflected across his social media and professional platforms. While his name when written in Korean does have the family name coming first, written in English it is always Isaac Hong. Thus, I believe it would be most accurate to write his name in English as Isaac Hong and his name in Korean as 홍이삭 (Hong Isaac). I was hoping to get your thoughts on this matter as you made the initial change. Thank you again for your work on the article!TheAnnaBanana (talk)11:05, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

HelloTheAnnaBanana!! This is a very well-composed article, and I have only made some minor edits, so you deserve the full credit for writing it and I really appreciate your work! I renamed the article in accordance withWP:COMMONNAME, which states that article titles should choose the name most commonly used by reliable sources. (it generally prefers the name that is most commonly used (as determined by its prevalence in a significant majority of independent, reliable, English-language sources) From what I gathered in the article and through a search on Google News, it seems that most sources use the surname-name order "Hong Isaac", including reputable South Korean outlets likeThe Korea Times[1],JoongAng Daily[2], andMaeil Business Newspaper[3].
In my review ofthe first five pages of results for "Isaac Hong" on Google News, I found that most either still used "Hong Isaac" or came from unreliable sources, with no Englishreliable sources using "Isaac Hong". Please correct me if I am wrong, but it appears that the subject's Instagram account also follows the surname-name order. (I believe this is Hong's official account[4].) While I noticed a couple of sources you included use "Isaac Hong" (likeHalsug andHype), and it is true that Hong's YouTube channel uses that name, they seem to be among the few supporting this naming order. So I use "Hong Isaac" as the article's title while moving it into mainspace, both for Wikipedia policies and for searchability (it would be much easier for someone to find this page if they encounter "Hong Isaac" in the news or on social media). But I may be mistaken and could have overlooked some sources, so please feel free to share your thoughts if you disagree with me. —Prince of EreborThe Book of Mazarbul12:45, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Prince of Erebor, thank you for your comments! I am still quite new to editing and writing articles according to Wikipedia's practices, so thank you for clarifying. I also re-reviewed various sites and sources, and you are right it seems that while it tends to alternate the strongest sources use "Hong Isaac". What brought this to my attention was the artist's newest release of the single "Lovers" (which he has been promoting under "Isaac Hong"). But in all honestly if even the artist themselves is alternating, it probably is best to just go with what the bigger media outlets address him by. Thank you again for all your advice and help!!!TheAnnaBanana (talk)21:27, 10 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No worries,TheAnnaBanana! Yea, sometimes there are discrepancies in how a person's name is spelled or ordered. The article's title is usually chosen based on the naming conventions of the country (in this case, it would beWikipedia:Naming conventions (Korean)) orthe name most commonly used in reliable sources. If you encounter the same query in the future, consider checking how the person is most frequently referenced in news articles. Great job on the article and I look forward to more excellent contributions from you! Happy editing! —Prince of EreborThe Book of Mazarbul11:22, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the DraftDraft:Atom Eve (character)

[edit]

I appreciate your time and feedback on my draft. I have addressed the concerns you raised and made the necessary improvements. Additionally, I have added more information to enhance the article's verifiability.Could you kindly review the draft again to see if it now meets Wikipedia’s guidelines? I’d appreciate any further suggestions you might have.Afro📢Talk!09:36, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

HeyAfrowriter! I just checked the article, and the previously unsourced content has indeed been added with citations. Great job! However, I am still not convinced about thereal-world notability demonstrated in the reception section. Most reviews, like those fromShacknews andCollider, seem to focus on the video game or TV series rather than the character itself. It appears that only theCBR article specifically discuss the character. However,a recent RFC discussion has labeled their articles as churnalism, which means they can be used to flesh out the article, but are unlikely to be taken into account fornotability. I suggest continuing to search for more sources thatspecifically address the character. If the ones currently in the article are the best available, I regret to say that the subject may not have enough notability for a standalone article at this point. ——👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜10:34, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The Shark News and Collider discussed both the game and TV series, as well as the character. Nowadays, it's rare to come across articles that focus solely on a fictional character.Afro📢Talk!11:05, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Together with the CBR source, that should be sufficient. She has been the subject of numerous discussions and is a well-known character in the Invincible universe. This character has clearly passed GNG and SIGCOV, which alone should be enough to support her notability claim.
don't get me wrong am not trying to argue with you am just saying you cant dismiss the case that she (The Character Atom Eve)
Has been a case of many Non trivial publications not just mentionsAfro📢Talk!11:11, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Afrowriter: Yea, sources that discuss a fictional character in isolation are rare, which is why fictional biographies are usually harder to create. I do not believe there is any ambiguity regarding theShacknews andCollider sources, that they primarily focus on the fictional works with the character being mentioned only in passing throughout the reviews. And as I mentioned,CBR has already been discredited and should not be considered in terms of notability at all. (SeeWP:VALNET) Thethree best sources currently in the article are either trivial or unreliable, so I do not find it convincing that the article meets GNG at this point and I doubt it would survive anAFD. Agree to disagree, I will pass this review on to another reviewer to see if there is a third opinion that aligns with yours. ——👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜11:53, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

AfD

[edit]

Hey Prince of Erebor, I hope you're doing well. I've noticed thatUser:Cunard hasn't been active for nearly three weeks now, and I haven't seen you around atDelsort China much lately. Some of the AfDs are at risk of getting kept or deleted entirely without a search for Chinese-language sources. I am doing my best to keep up, but I do not have the search skills of you or Cunard and my capacity to participate in AfDs is limited. If you'd consider devoting some more time to AfD, I would really appreciate it, and I'm sure the closing admins and the project as a whole would too.Toadspike[Talk]09:44, 28 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

YoToadspike! Many apologies for my absence and for leaving you to rescue article at AFD alone. I have always appreciated your excellent efforts in participating and finding sources for all the Chinese-language AFDs! (I was not aware that Cunard has also been absent these past few weeks, I hope everything is going well for them.) I am starting to get a bit busier in real life, and the time I manage to squeeze for Wikipedia has all gone toward article creation (I am trying to nominate a couple of articles before the upcoming GA review drive). So unfortunately, I may still not be able to devote much time to AFD, but I will do my best to keep an eye on articles there. I have provided Chinese sources for two nominations, while forthe Harbin Jewish Research Center, I could not find anything useful. However, I did come across an article stating that a scholar from the Center were interviewed byDer Spiegel.[5] I struggled to locate that interview piece since I do not know German, and I wonder if you might be able to find any German sources, considering you know the language. Thanks once again for your efforts in rescuing articles and for reaching out to me here! Cheers and happy editing! —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜13:22, 28 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Prince of Erebor andToadspike (talk ·contribs), thank you so much for your hard work in rescuing articles atWikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/China! When I edit Wikipedia, I prioritise monitoring the AfDs listed there as well as reviewing proposed deletions listed atWikipedia:WikiProject China/Article alerts,Wikipedia:WikiProject Hong Kong/Article alerts,Wikipedia:WikiProject Macau/Article alerts, andWikipedia:WikiProject Taiwan/Article alerts. Because of busyness and real-life events, I am sometimes away for a while or have very limited capacity to participate in AfDs even when I'm sporadically available. It is always good to have more editors search for sources atWikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/China. In the past few years, there have been other editors active at Delsort China AfDs, but they participate much less frequently now. I really appreciate both of you stepping in to help rescue articles and hope to see you both around at AfD, DYK, and other places!Cunard (talk)08:04, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent delection of a reference source

[edit]

Hi. I came across the deletion of an "unreliable" source executed by you on theCOMAC C919 English Wiki page. In general, I have no quarrel with said deletion (the source was apparently referenced to substantiate the delivery of a C919 jetliner in 2023) since there exist multiple sources, some would say too many sources, on that page which substantiate such jet deliveries. But one aspect of your action is a bit troubling to me: you apparently took this action because the partiuclar source under discussion is "blacklisted" by the "community".

I'm not familiar with the news outlet (dimsumdaily?) that published the relevant article and it's entirely possible, even likely, that it's generally an unreliable outlet; however, the article under discussion is apparently quite innocuous (just a report about the fact that a jet delivery occurred on such and such a date), and in all likelihood, dimsumdaily was simply reprinting a story that it obtained from some other outlet, with minor modifications, as many web-based news outlets are wont to do in the US and elsewhere. Under these circumstances, where a blanket ban is applied to all articles thatoriginate from a proscribed source regardless of the accuracy of its content, a source deletion cannot but be described as censorship of the most severe kind even if the "community" had given prior approval. I know there are a whole bunch of folks on Wikipedia who go around doing such "source-policing" and that there's little that I can do about it even if I had the energy; nevertheless, I'd like you to hear from someone with a slightly different viewpoint.

I think you're likely a well-meaning and (relatively) young HongKonger who is striving for "open and free" Western social ideals, and that this, perhaps paradoxically, is what has motivated you to take actions that others may view as censorship. But as someone who lived briefly under Chiang Kai-shek, waved to Queen Elizabeth II in 1975 as a little kid while she was on her way to Government House in a franchiseless Hong Kong, who cluelessly agreed with the US media when it excoriated China in 1989, who then watched governments which I often voted for ignore voters and bomb innocents (oops collateral damage) across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East over a period of decades, I can tell you that "Western ideals" are very often selectively used by the US (my government) to blacken the reputations of its perceived enemies while a double-standard is applied (or just the ruthless application of wholesale censorship) when its own action arguably falls short (sometimes far short) of such ideals. (I don't know about British Common Law, but in the US, "selective prosecution" is considered to be a defense to criminal charges, possibly by case law). Granted, the fact that the West (and the US in particular) may be falling short of its ideals does not mean thatyou should curtail the rather commendable goal of building a free and open society; however, I don't think working to enforce a hard ban against a news source (which is not an out-and-out organ of a hate group like theVolkischer Beobachter) on Wikipedia is commensurate with that goal. Note that even the Nazi newspaper organ, as the official publication of the sole legal party of theDritte Reich circa 1933, can be considered to be a "credible source" with respect to the intentions of Germany during the relevant period, using today's lingo.

I'm sorry I went on-and-on about this stemming from a simple source deletion, but this is something which has been on my mind lately.Do not feel the need to respond. if you disagree with any aspect of my sentiments then just delete this post from your talk page. You seem like a generally considerate pearson, Cheers.Spotty's Friend (talk)02:58, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Spotty's Friend, thanks for sharing your views with me and I understand the perspective behind them, but I believe there has been a misunderstanding regarding the removal of Dimsum Daily. "Blacklisting" on Wikipedia means that a source isdeprecated and added to thespam blacklist based on editors' consensus. It is not related to censorship or the personal opinions of individual editors. Recently, Dimsum Daily was blacklisted by the Chinese Wikipedia following thorough discussions among editors. The reasons for its blacklist include its ongoing publication of fake news (e.g., according toFactWire, they fabricated a quote from a Czech TV interview with a scientist who claimed that COVID-19 was created in an American laboratory, but this interview did not exist and the scientist denied making those statements), poor journalistic practices (e.g., they admitted to "always troll people" in one of their apology statements after publishing a misleading report), a lack of editorial independence and oversight (e.g., most contributors are students rather than professional journalists), and a controversial background (e.g., it is controlled by a marketing agency with ties to a social media influencer, raising concerns about paid advertorials). This news blog checks every box for what we would consider anunreliable source on Wikipedia, and I believe you would agree that unreliable sourcesshould be avoided. I have also submitted a request to the English Wikipedia's spam list regarding this source, which means the blog will soon be blocked from ouredit filters as well.
Typically, editors or bots that clean up these sources will remove and replace them with a {{cn}} tag or simply delete the entire sentence citing this source. However, I wanted to preserve the content in all 161 articles that cited it, especially since Dimsum lacks original reporting and many of its articles are merely reposts of Chinese-language media in English, so there are likely better sources available and I decided to manually clean up the content, preventing it from being deleted due to lack of sourcing. You can check my editing history, it took me two days (26 to 27 May) to clean them up. In 80% of the cases (with the edit summary of "Replace Dimsum Daily with a better reliable source"), I replaced Dimsum with reliable sources listed inWP:RSP orWP:HKRS. For the remaining 20% (with the edit summary of "Remove sources from Dimsum Daily"), likeComac C919, as those articles cited another source in addition to Dimsum, so I simply removed it. Aside fromKhalil Fong where I found the Dimsum sourcecontradicting other reliable sources, not a single word of content in the other 160 articles was deleted. So I would not describe what I did as censorship, rather, I was trying my best to protect our content while adhering toour five pillars. I hope this clears up any doubts you have about the source removal. Cheers and happy editing! —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜14:24, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The Mitchells vs. the Machines

[edit]

Since you do not answer me on my talk page, I would like to clarify the reason behind your recent reverts here. For example: why do you consider this a Hong Kong film, when Hong Kong isnt even mentioned in the article? The article clearly describes it as an US production with Sony holding chinese distribution rights, which is the cloesest it comes to even mentioning Hong Kong. If you have proof, that this is indeed a Hong Kong movie, you should probably first edit the article accordingly. Thanks for your attention, and sorry if I did disturb you. This co-production status is well-supported by sources such asThe Numbers[7], and One Cool Films's involvement is backed by sources likeScreen International[8] andVariety[9]. Since you initiated the removal of categories, theburden of proof is on you. Hi, I saw you you reverted several name edits ofUser:CLW.Edward tagging them as vandalism. While I find many of their edits problematic, it is correct to use the full legal name in lede perMOS:FULLNAME (seeJohn Lee Ka-chiu for example) and ideally include a{{Family name hatnote}}.WP:ZHNAME governs thearticle title and is not applicable to the lede or infobox.Northern Moonlight00:24, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

HiNorthern Moonlight! I remember this user and if I recall correctly, they changed the names of some Hongkongers in the article leads from the hyphenated format to non-hyphenated, without providing any sources to prove that the non-hyphenated version is thecommon name for the subjects, and I reverted those changes. I was initially a bit confused by your statement. Based on what you wrote and after reviewing some of that user's edit history, it seems that I inadvertently reverted a couple of articles where they had added non-hyphenated full legal names that originally only included the subjects' English names. I mistakenly did this as part of a batch revert, which was not my intention. You are correct that the full legal name should be included in the lead. Thanks a lot for bringing this issue to my attention and for your corrections! —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜07:37, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 09:36:10, 30 July 2025 for assistance onAfC submission by Kuhkul

[edit]

Thanks for your review comment. this is my first wiki page and I really appreciate your professional advice on referencing.

Dr. Kan was a university librarian and her profile and achivements are recorded in university web pages which are being used by me.

say, [ In 2002, she was awarded the HKSARMedal of Honour for her valuable contribution ... ] , I used a web page from HKSAR, is it good ?

I used HKU & Charles Sturt Univesity web page sources for the Biography of Dr Kan. are those sources reliable?

I would greatly appreciate it if you could point out which sources are not acceptable, so I can learn from my mistakes. Thank you!

Kuhkul (talk)09:36, 30 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

HiKuhkul, welcome to Wikipedia! Since the subject has direct ties to HKU, HKU websites would be considered non-independentprimary sources in this context. To prove a subject'snotability on Wikipedia, at least two reliable, independent, and secondary sources are needed. You may refer toWP:RS for further guidance on identifying reliable sources. I advise you to consider citing articles from newspapers or media outlets that cover the subject. —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜08:09, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply. I understood the WP:RS ideas, but you know, the university publicly released 'records' are also a proof of an event happened in the university. Those "records" are kept as a kind of Archives, which has been appraised without subjective & emotional judgement, it is simply a kind of "press release" .
The activities happened in academic university usually cannot be found from media and other sources. For this reason, if I cannot find a second citation source other than HKU, I cannot write in wikipedia, but it was really happened and recorded in University Archives. i am a bit puzzled.
Dr Kan has been served in various universities, am I correct that all sources from those are not considered to be reliable?
Dr Kan received a Medal of Honor from HKSAR government (press release as citation included). Is this source not reliable too.
I am now stalled for improving the wiki writing as I am confused on those issues. Thanks.Kuhkul (talk)03:41, 7 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
A simple answer to your question is no, those sources are not what we are looking for. Thisreview focuses on the subject'snotability, which requires sources that arereliable, independent, and secondary. The issue here is not whether those sources are reliable, but rather their connection to the subject, which makes them "primary" and "non-independent". Sources from HKU are generally acceptable to cite in many cases, and you may certainly use them in this article to expand on the subject's biography. However, they do not contribute to establishing notability. The same applies to CUHK and HKU Space, as the subject has worked at these institutions and the press releases in question are specifically about the subject as their former staff member. You might also want to reviewWP:PRSOURCE to see why press releases are considered non-independent sources. Again, these press releases are fully citable (unlike unreliable sources that must be removed immediately), but they do not count towards the subject's notability. We are specifically seeking independent, secondary sources. If the subject struggles to have sources that meet these criteria, it suggests the subject may not be notable enough to warrant a standalone article. —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜04:52, 7 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request for assistance on AfC submission

[edit]

Thank you for your prompt and detailed review comment; this was my first AfC draft, and I appreciate your straightforward response. I have expanded my sources inDraft:Changzhou Songjianhu Senior High School accordingly and added additional content that hopefully ensures it meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines for schools. If you could provide some feedback, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.Minecraft.zip (talk)16:54, 9 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

HelloMinecraft.zip and welcome to Wikipedia. The article itself is well composed and is very close to being moved to the mainspace. However, the sourcing remains unsatisfactory. As I mentioned in the previous review, the school's website is not an independent reliable source, which is what we are looking for, and some of the newly added sources are from the Changzhou government, making themprimary sources. To demonstrate the school'snotability, independent, secondary, and reliable sources are needed. I suggest you try to find articles from newspapers or online media that cover the school in depth, and add at least two such sources to the draft. —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜01:12, 10 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have added some non-government and non-school sources to strengthen my sourcing and have resubmitted the article. Hopefully, these can ensure its notability for inclusion into Wikipedia.
Also, I have an unrelated meta question I wonder if you can answer. It appears that some very old Wikipedia articles (e.g.Qianhuang Senior High School) have much fewer sources and clearly do not meet Wikipedia' notability guidelines. Thus, these sources have been labeled stubs. My question is: how did these stubs even get approved in the first place as an AfC? Or, is there an alternative method to submit stubs?Minecraft.zip (talk)05:55, 10 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Minecraft.zip, I have reviewed the article and I believe it meets thegeneral notability guideline. The JSTV/Changzhou Daily source (source 6) is the strongest among all the sources, and this is what I was referring to when mentioning "independent, secondary, and reliable sources". You might consider adding more similar articles to further flesh out the article or when creating other articles in the future!
Regarding your second question,Qianhuang Senior High School was created in 2011, a time when Wikipedia's new page patrol was relatively more lenient. I shared the same thoughts as you in my early days on Wikipedia, wondering why some articles are so poorly written and sourced yet left unattended. This is because Wikipedia has millions of articles and some are buried deep in the vast content where no editors have yet to review them. In addition to Article for Creation, we also haveArticle for Deletion (AFD). Unsatisfactory articles that somehow slip past Wikipedia's guidelines are targeted for deletion every day. You are always welcome to improve these articles, or if you believe they are beyond salvage, you can propose them for deletion! Currently, all new accounts with fewer than ten edits must have their newly created articles reviewed through AFC. Once you become anautoconfirmed user, you can create articles directly in the mainspace. However, new pages are stillpatrolled by a separate group of reviewers and unsatisfactory articles will besent back to draftspace to undergo AFC review before they can be recreated. Therefore, technically, there is no way to bypass review on Wikipedia. —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜10:36, 10 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Danners430, I do not think I have issued higher-level warnings to users for adding unreliable sources, as these are more akin to reminders rather than warnings against vandalism. But if a user persists in adding a specific deprecated source, I will followWP:4IM by replacing the warning with a different icon and, after four warnings, will direct the user toWP:AIV like the standard procedure. —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜14:44, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  1. It is a list aboutICH, which is belonged to theUNESCO.
  2. On Google we can find a huge number of good sources, including the UN or Chinese government.
  3. It will make up for a shortage.

For reference, I put it in the same place,

Reference: [5]

And I do not know how to colour the table to show that it is trans-national. Please help me to do this.

In addition, I questioned inWikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk/New question, but they did not understand me.

See:List of Intangible Cultural Heritage elements in Malaysia (I copied the format from here),List of Intangible Cultural Heritage elements in Spain.HerrGutmannsWiki (talk)13:51, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

HerrGutmannsWiki, sorry but I do not understand your question either, both here and atWP:AFCHELP. As I mentioned in my AFC review comment, the draft was rejected because it fails to demonstrate notability, is incomplete, and contains a significant amount of unsourced content.WP:CRITERIA pertains to article titles and is unrelated tonotability, so I am unclear about your point. Thegeneral notability guidelines require multipleindependent secondary sources that providesignificant coverage of a topic in order to create a standalone article on Wikipedia. Sources from the UN or the Chinese government are consideredprimary sources; while they can be cited to flesh out articles, they do not count toward notability. You also need to cite secondary sources directly in the article rather than just claiming there are sources available online. I am also unsure what you meant by "colour the table", but I do not believe it contributes to completing the draft. Please consider adding reliable secondary sources to support every claim and sentence in the draft, similar to other articles we have on Wikipedia. —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜14:16, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The main purpose of creating it is because there had been many articles about list of ICH of a country in Wikipedia, e.g.List of Intangible Cultural Heritage elements in Malaysia, thus I wanted to create one for China. Like what Sixth Tones says, "China now has 44 items included in UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage, more than any other country."[1], but China does not have one.
The information of the list is fromhttps://ich.unesco.org/en/state/china-CN?info=elements-on-the-lists.
If Chinese list does not have enough notability, it will be confusing that why other ICH list articles have.

And actually all elements in that list are with citation. The citation is provided in the same place under the titleIntangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.HerrGutmannsWiki (talk)19:39, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

HerrGutmannsWiki, other stuff exists is not a valid argument for advocating article creation on Wikipedia and I believe I have already made it clear what the draft is currently lacking. It is good to know you have found some secondary sources on the topic. Please add themto the article, ensuring that every claim, including entries in the list, is sourced, and complete the draft before resubmission. —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜22:57, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
ArticleList of Intangible Cultural Heritage elements in Malaysia only provides the primary source from UNESCO. Should I give it {{notability}}?HerrGutmannsWiki (talk)19:36, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
HerrGutmannsWiki, as mentioned, whetherother stuff exists or other stuff does not exist will not help you gain acceptance for your draft. If you want to contribute to Wikipedia, youshould take the advice given to complete your draft and improve the unsatisfactory sourcing you encounter in any other articles to bring them up to standard. —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜01:50, 13 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request to review DYK nomination for Habib Mousa

[edit]

Hey @Prince of Erebor, hope you're doing well! Thanks for looking over my DYK nomination forHano Qritho, I really appreciate it!

I was wondering if you'd be able to take a look at my nomination forHabib Mousa, I've had it since September 7th but nobody's been able to look over it yet. I would really love if you had the chance to look it over so I can get it confirmed soon, it would mean a lot if you could! For reference, here's the link to the nomination:[10].

Hoping to hear from you soon!Surayeproject3 (talk)01:27, 17 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

HiSurayeproject3, I have reviewed the DYK nomination. It is a well-written article and it is a pity that it has sat at DYKN for so long. I believe that one reason many other editors did not review it is because the source for the hook fact is paywalled. Next time, you might consider copying and pasting the full quote from the source when nominating an article for DYK instead of just posting a URL link (for example, something likeTemplate:Did you know nominations/May You Stay Forever Young), so that all editors can access your source and review the article more easily. Cheers and happy editing! —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜20:35, 17 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Marking LLM-generated articles as reviewed

[edit]

Hello, I had some concerns after I found some issues with an editor's conduct (see this new thread at theWikiproject AI Cleanup noticeboard about G-Dragon articles recently and noticed that you markedG-Dragon Media Exhibition: Übermensch as reviewed. I would have at least tagged this with{{promotional}}. Some of the problems comes from the sources themselves being translated with AI, but at least one stand-out phrase (Some lifestyle outlets framed the exhibition as part of a broader trend of popstar-led immersive art experiences) is completely incorrect (the source is a single outlet, not multiple, and doesn't talk about any works from other pop stars at all). Please take care when reviewing in this area. --Reconrabbit15:36, 12 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

HiReconrabbit, thanks for bringing this to my attention! I only do spot-checks on sources during my reviews and had not looked into the source you mentioned (source 5). I initially thought it would be similar to source 10, which is also a single source but mentions that Taiwanese media in general gave rave reviews of the exhibition, so that sentence did not raise any red flags for me. I will pay more attention on potential AI-generated text in my future reviews. Thanks and happy editing! —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜23:28, 12 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
