Would you be willing to dual-license your script asGPL v2 or later? That's the standard license for MediaWiki, and would mean I can just copy all of your code for inclusion in MediaWiki instead of re-implementing it (and I'm not even sure how to do that given how straightforward/simple it is...). @Materialscientist: Yes and the AN thread clearly says that a lot of the edits were probably fine. But the owner doesn't have the time to go through them all to make sure. So in the spirit of caution they asked forall edits to be undone while they fix the bot. It will be rerun when it is fixed. Well that was exactly the problem. The bot shouldn't have done that, and finding those corner cases would be pretty time consuming.
