Our friends are back. I have requested a checkuser.JodyByak, yak, yak14:35, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm still awaiting the checkuser report. It wouldn't surprise me to find that is an instructor as the ideas behind the comments are not very common among younger people. Anyway, the IP is included in the checkuser atWP:RFCU. If so, I will ask another administrator to make the blocks.JodyByak, yak, yak21:40, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Report is backhere and confirms my suspicions. I have asked another admin to take a look since I really shouldn't do any blocking/protecting in this case.JodyByak, yak, yak01:29, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you much. The Eagle Island pieces are in the shape I expected. You are much appreciated. --Dumarest11:59, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed onWillie Bean requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done undersection A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under thecriteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Pleasesee the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specificnotability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding{{hangon}} tothe top ofthe page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note onthe talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged forspeedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contactone of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you.DavidWS(contribs)17:47, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

| I stumbled uponWillie Bean the other day and was impressed by the work you put forward making this a really good page. Even though it's definitely a unique article, it still meets the guidelines for what is "appropriate" for Wikipedia. Therefore I award you the Oddball Barnstar for this contributionRaven1977 (talk)19:15, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply] |
DearWikiProject Video games member,
You are receiving this message because you have eitherCategory:WikiProject Video games members or{{User WPVG}} somewhere in youruserspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.
The Video games project has created amember list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.
All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:
Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.
Hi! I'm leaving you this message because you're a member of WikiProject Alabama. TheWikipedia Ambassador Program is currently looking for Campus Ambassadors to help with Wikipedia assignments at Troy University, which will be participating in the Public Policy Initiative for the Spring 2011 semester. The role of Campus Ambassadors will be to provide face-to-face training and support for students on Wikipedia-related skills (how to edit articles, how to add references, etc.). This includes doing in-class presentations, running workshops and labs, possibly holding office hours, and in general providing in-person mentorship for students.
Prior Wikipedia skills arenot required for the role, as training will be provided for all Campus Ambassadors (although, of course, being an experienced editor is a plus).
I know Alabama is a big state, but if you happen to live near Troy and you are interested in being a Wikipedia Campus Ambassador, or know someone else from Troy who might be, pleaseemail me or leave a message on my talk page.--Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk)16:31, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to readthe guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using theArticle Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed onAlabama Moon (novel) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done undersection A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please seeWikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be onnotable subjects and should provide references toreliable sources thatverify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding{{hang on}} tothe top ofthe page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note onthe talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged forspeedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contactone of these administrators to request that the administratoruserfy the page or email a copy to you.Catfish Jim & the soapdish10:27, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia. It doesn't speculate what may be,particularly if it is uncited speculation not contained in any reliable source. Uncited, and controversial information, can be removed at any time when challenged. If you wish it to be in the article you need to cite it form a good source that makes it clear it isn't just speculation. Thanks. --Escape Orbit(Talk)23:27, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
