August 2024

[edit]

Greetings! I noticed that you reverted the edits that I made on the Keyshia Cole article. Right now, I'm trying my hardest to improve the article as it's currently nominated for a GA and any errors made within my edits will be corrected/fixed when the review is made. There's a lot of important information about the subject that is not present in the article so I've been doing as much as I could to fix that so please trust the process.Finesse2Starz (talk)03:43, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The change I reverted added the content "She recently died in 2021 at the age of ripe 90. We will miss you Yvonne! (No hate intended, just missing my good old friend from school)"MetalBreaksAndBends (talk)15:04, 2 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Countryballs edits

[edit]

Dear MetalBreaksAndBends,

I’ve noticed you’ve been reverting my edits to theCountryballs page recently, and I wanted to address some issues. Specifically, I’ve observed that some of your reverts appear to be deviating from the core topic of the article and are introducing content that doesn’t seem relevant. Here are a few examples:

  1. Teas: The addition of "Teas" to the UKball section doesn’t seem relevant to the Countryballs concept. Countryballs typically personify countries, and "Teas" doesn’t align with the visual or cultural representation that UKball usually portrays (i.e., Britain’s stereotype as tea-loving). It feels out of place in the context of the page.
  2. UK Empire References: Including content related to theBritish Empire is off-topic. The Countryballs page is about how countries are depicted in the ball-shaped format and not a discussion on the history of empires or colonialism. Adding this kind of information can confuse readers about the purpose of the article and detract from the main subject.
  3. Stereotypes: Some of the links and edits you've added seem to perpetuate stereotypes that don't contribute meaningfully to the page. For instance, if the edits focus on outdated or harmful generalizations rather than the more neutral or humorous aspects of the Countryballs genre, it risks damaging the page's quality and neutrality.
  4. Unrelated Content: Some of the links and references you've added (such ascountry names without "-ball" suffixes) are inconsistent with the format. Countryballs follows a specific naming convention where the "-ball" suffix is applied to the country's name (e.g.,USBall,PolandBall,GermanyBall), and straying from this could confuse readers or dilute the page’s coherence.
  5. Vandalism Concerns: I understand that the edits may not have been intended as vandalism, but introducing irrelevant information or breaking established formatting conventions can be seen as disruptive to the page. Wikipedia relies on contributors to respect established guidelines and contribute meaningfully to the content.

I’d appreciate it if you could stay focused on relevant content that maintains the integrity of theCountryballs article, particularly content that adheres to the specific format and theme of national personifications as "balls." If you disagree with some of these changes or have any questions, feel free to discuss them here. I’m happy to collaborate on improving the article together.

Thanks for your understanding.199.80.245.1 (talk)20:21, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
