After the comment where you said you'd be open to reevaluating based on additional explanation, I made a somewhat longer post outlinine some of the precise ways in which the presence of random redirects can be disruptive for coding:Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2024_February_20#Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/Archives/Years. Partly done, seehere. The template is used so sparsely that it really just clutters the page unnecessarily. I went ahead and added a note about article creation somewhat as requested. I did not add a notice about mirrors etc. because it seems especially undue (if they start to be inappropriately created and it seems people get that notion, then it can be easily modified at that point in time).— Godsy (TALKCONT)06:55, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
