This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. The category you quote is for "blatant and obvious misinformation, blatant hoaxes (including files intended to misinform)". You have no reason to prove it is so. The page you refer to is describing a project that took place for couple of years in Wikipedia. Kindly respect the Wiki-rules by having an established user name (not just IP number) and respect other users and validate your point of view by making a profound research (in this case even very basic one would help) instead of threatening other users (in this case myself) with speed deletion of one article + evoking my editing privilages. With all due respect but you have only 3 (!) edits in Wikipedia. The first one ever being the one where you added "speedy deletion" template on the article, and then second one being this message above, on my talk-page. Only 1 day later, you've made an edit on COVID-19 related page. So far (already 18 days since your last edit) nothin more. I would really encourage you to contribute further to Wikipedia but only when respecting other users and rules. We are all learning, so assume that you are also making mistakes. Best wishes and good luck on the path of our joint effort of improving Wikipedia and enlarging its coverage of human knowledge. --Lantuszka (talk)10:03, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:KIK Warszawa-logo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploadingFile:KIK Warszawa-logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under aclaim of fair use. However, it is currentlyorphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (seeour policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in anyarticles will be deleted after seven days, as described oncriteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.BJBot (talk)05:11, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:Pax-Romana-ICMICA MIIC-logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploadingFile:Pax-Romana-ICMICA MIIC-logo.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim offair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meetsWikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have anexplanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is anon-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice byFairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, seeWikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk)12:06, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Poland Newsletter • April 2011
For our freedom and yours

Welcome to our first issue ofWikiProject Poland newsletter, the Monitor (named afterthe first Polish newspaper).

Our Project has been operational since 1 June, 2005, and also serves as the Poland-related Wikipedia notice board. I highly recommend watchlisting theWikipedia:WikiProject Poland page, so you can be aware of the ongoing discussions. We hope you will join us in them, if you haven't done so already! Unlike many other WikiProjects, we are quite active; in this year alone about 40 threads have been started on our discussion page, and we do a pretty good job at answering all issues raised.

In addition to a lively encyclopedic, Poland-related, English-language discussion forum, we have numerous useful tools that can be of use to you - and that you could help us maintain and develop:

This is not all; on our page you can find a list of useful templates (including userboxes), awards and other tools!

With all that said, how about you join our discussions atWT:POLAND? Surely, there must be something you could help others with, or perhaps you are in need of assistance yourself?

You have received this newsletter because you are listed as a [member link] atWikiProject Poland. •Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk21:11, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Survey

[edit]

Hi Lantuszka!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate.I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you!SarahStierch (talk)23:21, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lantuszka

[edit]

Hi Lantuszka! Thanks for coordinating an event for WikiWomen's History Month! I am trying to gather information on a few things for a summary I'm writing about the month! It'd be great to know the following information, if possible:

  • How many participants did the event have?
  • How many new editors created accounts? (A list of editors would be awesome!)
  • Is it possible that all of the article and contribution outcomes can be shared on the WWHMoutcomes page?

Any thoughts you can share about successes, participant experience, lessons learned, things one wishes they would have done differently, ways WMF and chapters can support these events, and so forth, would be wonderful. Thank you so much and all you do for improving women's representation and participation in Wikipedia.Sarah (talk)19:14, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Poland Newsletter • January 2014 • Issue II
For our freedom and yours

Welcome to the second issue ofWikiProject Poland newsletter, the Monitor (named afterthe first Polish newspaper).

Unlike many other WikiProjects, we are quite active; we get close to a hundred discussion threads each year and we do a pretty good job at answering all issues raised. Last year we werefeatured in the Signpost, and our interviewer was amazed at our activity. In the end, however, even as active as we are, we are just a tiny group - you can easily become one of our core members!

In addition to a lively encyclopedic, Poland-related, English-language discussion forum, we have numerous useful tools that can be of use to you - and that you could help us maintain and develop:

  • we have an activeassessment department. As of now, our project has tagged almost 83,000 pages as Poland-related - that's an improvement of over 3,000 new pages since the last newsletter. Out of which 30 still need aquality assessment, and 2,000,importance assessment. We have done a lot to clear the backlog here (3 years ago those numbers were 1,500 and 20,000, respectively). Can you help assess a few pages?
    • assessing articles is as easy as filling in the class= and importance= parameters on the talk page in the {{WPPOLAND|class=|importance=}} template. Seehere for a how-to guide.
  • once an article has an assessment template, it will appear inour article alerts and news feed, which provides information on which Poland-related articles are considered for deletion, move, or are undergoing a Good or Featured review. Watchlistingthat feed, in addition to watchlisting our project's main page, is a good way to make sure you stay up to date on most Poland-related discussions.
  • you can also see detailed deletion discussions atWikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Poland (which is a good place to watchlist if you just want to stay up to date on possible deletions of Poland-related content)
  • we have also begunB-class quality reviews on our talk page, and if our activity increases, hopefully we will be able to institute our ownA-class quality reviews. As of now, we have about500 C-class articles in need of a B-class review. If you'd like to help with them, instructions for doing B-class reviews are to be found inpoint 10 of our assessment FAQ. In addition to this automated list, you are also encouraged to help review articles from our B-class reviews requested list foundhere.
  • also, those articles will be included in ourcleanup listing, which allows us to see which top-importance articles are in need for attention, and so on. We have tens of thousands articles in need of cleanup there, so if you ever need something to do, just look at this gigantic list. (I am currently reviewing the articles tagged with notability, either proving them notable or nominating for deletion; there are still several dozens left if you want to help!).
  • did you know that newly created Poland-related articles are listedhere. They need to be reviewed, often cleaned-up, occasionally nominated for deletion, and their creators may need to bewelcomed and invited to our project if they show promise as new authors of Poland-related content.
  • we are maintaining aPortal:Poland
  • automatedWikipedia:WikiProject Poland/Popular pages lists the most popular Poland-related pages from the previous month(s)
  • Breaking news: we are looking for aWikipedian in Residence for the New York City area. SeeWikipedia:GLAM/Józef Piłsudski Institute of America for details.

This is not all; on our page you can find a list of useful templates (including userboxes), awards and other tools!

With all that said, how about you join our discussions atWT:POLAND? Surely, there must be something you could help others with, or perhaps you are in need of assistance yourself?

It took me three years to finish this issue. Feel free to help out getting the next one before 2017 by being more active in WikiProject management :)

Proposed deletion of"Jewish Motifs" International Film Festival

[edit]

The article"Jewish Motifs" International Film Festival has beenproposed for deletion because of the following concern:

As written, there are insufficient references to show how this passesWikipedia:Notability (events).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may bedeleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the{{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in youredit summary or onthe article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing{{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop theproposed deletion process, but otherdeletion processes exist. Information iconWelcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is consideredbad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at thewelcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You appear to have deliberately changed my !votehere, after I had a) first placed a comment and then b) expressed a desire tosupport the nomination. Do not do that again!Shawn in Montreal (talk)22:36, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Shawn for your comment. Although i do not fully agree with your very strict comment, I appreciate you taking the effort to leave me a message here. I have not changed your vote, the edition was only underlining (technically only) what you said - i understand now that no such edition shall be made, i didn't knew there was such a rule on technical aspect (once again: i have NOT change the content of your vote and its reasoning). I have left on your talkpage a message with explanation and appologies. Im disapointed that you had reverted (and deleted) this message and censored your talkpage in order not to have negative comments there. That's highly disapointing. --Lantuszka (talk)13:17, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in study

[edit]

Hello,

I am E. Whittaker, I am working with Wikimedia’s Scoring Team to create a labeled dataset, and potentially a tool, to help editors deal with incivility when they encounter it on talk pages. A full write-up of the study can be found here:m:Research:Civil_Behavior_Interviews.We are currently recruiting editors to be interviewed about their experiences with incivility on talk pages. Would you be interested in being interviewed? I am contacting you because of your involvement in Wikipedia’s Women in Red project. The interviews should take ~1 hour, and will be conducted over BlueJeans (which does allow interviews to be recorded). If, so, please email me at ewhit@umich.edu in order to schedule an interview.

Redirect ofElizaveta_Glinka toElizabeth Glinka adding plot ofDoctor Lisa

[edit]

You are a top editor ofElizaveta_Glinka (seeTalk:Elizaveta_Glinka) I have been editingDoctor Lisa andElizaveta_Glinka for the past week. Please watchDoctor Lisa, as top editors will not allow me to add a plot. See:User_talk:DanCherek#Sources_for_Doctor_Lisa_-_can_you_help?

Number 1

I suggest the article be moved toElizabeth Glinka the name used in English speaking countries:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Elizaveta_Glinka#Suggested_move_to_Elizabeth_Glinka

SeeTalk:Elizaveta_Glinka#Suggested_move_to_Elizabeth_Glinka

Number 2

I need a plot summary that meets thedraconian rules ofWikipedia. Here is what I have written thus far:

The plot is of one day in the life ofElizabeth Glinka who is the head ofFair Care Foundation in Moscow in 2012. As the day starts, Elizabeth and her husbandGleb Glebovich Glinka are going to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary. Elizabeth is waiting for her three sons and close friends to arrive.
Before the party, the last thing she needs to do is drop byMoscow Paveletsky Railway Station to check on weekly patients at theFair Care fund and to send humanitarian supplies to people in need.
At the clinic, a man calls Doctor Lisa. In a hospital in the Moscow suburbs his five-year-old girl, Eva, who is dying. The doctor on duty has to discharge Eva. Due to medical formalities the child, who suffers from cancer, is left without painkillers. Doctor Lisa agrees to help.
This request results in Doctor Lisa breaking the law for this girl.[1][2][3][4][5]

My Russian is bad so it is difficult for me to write a proper plot summary onDoctor Lisa. Thanks in advance.Metro2fsb (talk)05:29, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
