NGC

[edit]

Hello Jackarrrr!

I just want to say I appreciate your effort with the NGC articles. Seems like we're both working towards filling in the catalogue here on Wikipedia.

Take care!Galaxyfriend (talk)16:18, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Galaxyfreind!
Thanks for your complement, and I am glad that we have similar interests! If you want something to read, then maybe try my new article,ESO 0313-192

Request to create AM 2026-424

[edit]

Hi Jackarrr, nice work on your galaxy articles, but I have a new article request you might want to create if you feel like it, which is AM 2026-424, a pair of interacting galaxies. What do you think of this idea?

Links to the articles:[1][2]Galaxybeing (talk)08:49, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello
AM 2026-424 is a great idea for an article. The galaxy is eye-catching even to me and would be a great fit on Wikipedia. One small issue though: the articles provided are great, but I would need to find more references and other sites to make a strong article suitable for the Wikipedia mainspace(NASA/IPAC, et cetera).
But if you are asking me to approve a request, I could say yes to a draft being made.Jackarrrr (talk)14:48, 24 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was able to find some sources for AM 2026-424 such as[3],[4], and[5], whom I feel might be included in the article although these are just general studies. But the only articles I could find that provide significant coverage on the galaxy, are the ESA and Hubble papers. I suggest you might want to createSBS 0846+513 as an alternative to AM 2026-424 instead since this object is notable on Wikipedia and has received significant coverage from several studies which I'll be listing below. What do you think?

Also I've have other galaxy suggestions you might want to work on them if you like, since these objects are likely notable (the links and article names are listed below):
  1. WPVS48 (links:[10],[11][12])
  2. 2MASX J00423991+3017515 (links:[13],[14])
  3. 2MASX J10405643-0103584 (links:[15],[16])
Galaxybeing (talk)06:10, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your suggestion to create an article on SBS 0846+513 instead of AM 2026-424 seems reasonable, especially if SBS 0846+513 has more substantial coverage and recognition in the scientific literature. Highlighting well-documented and notable objects can provide veiwers with richer insights and more verifiable information. It’s always best to choose topics that have garnered attention from multiple reputable sources to ensure the article's relevance and quality. If you have specific studies to support your recommendation, that would certainly strengthen your case like I already have mentioned.Jackarrrr (talk)00:28, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
