This award is given in recognition to Cloventt for collecting more than 50 points during theWikiProject Unreferenced articles'sFEB24 backlog drive. Your contributions played a crucial role in sourcing 14,300 unsourced articles during the drive. Thank you so much for participating and helping to reduce the backlog! – –DreamRimmer (talk)18:38, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply] |
Great work on this article. I have a suggestion that you create new headings instead of "Points of interest". There could be separate top-level headings for: Buildings, Bridges, Statues, Installations, etc.
The content in the existing "Points of interest" section includes history, and buildings that are no longer in existence. Perhaps this is out of scope, but one building that I remember from my childhood is the Hay's department store (subsequently Farmers), that had a frontage on Armagh Street, facing the square. The building was notable for many reasons, including the roof top playground for kids, and the (rather dodgy) Father Christmas with the beckoning finger that was mounted on the front of the building, directly facing Victoria Square. See:Haywrights, and[1] and[2], and[3], and[4], and in particular:[5], and[6]Marshelec (talk)07:08, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Cloventt, given the acceptance above, you are free to finish the trimming of the Christchurch article in the history section. I have preemptively added the{{main}} hatnote to the section. Cheers, microbiologyMarcus[petri dish·growths]18:56, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am willing to undertake a GA review ofVictoria Square, Christchurch. However, before I begin (or someone else gets started first), it is best that we find a time when both of us can be available. The guidelines suggest that GA reviews should be completed ideally within 7 days, but this is only possible if the nominator and reviewer are both available and can commit the time required. Please let me know a period over the next two months that would be best for you, I will see if we can agree a period for the review._Marshelec (talk)01:49, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

SeeWikipedia:Bot policy. I'm not sure if your macron removal-detection bot falls within this, as it seems to be mostly about bots which edit in article space. If you haven't already, I suggest you read the policy and if there's any likelihood that your bot needs approval, better to ask about it (perhaps atWikipedia:Bots/Noticeboard) than ignore the potential issue. It is also possible that the functionality could be incorporated more efficiently in anWP:Edit filter, which allows for edits meeting a given criteria to be logged.-Gadfium (talk)22:56, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In addition, any bot or automated editing process that affects only the operator's or their own userspace (user pages, user talk pages, user's module sandbox pages and subpages thereof), and which are not otherwise disruptive, may be run without prior approval.so I think its ok.
Hi Cloverntt, thank you for your recent support! I am still learning and just want to focus on continuing to make positive contributions on this platform. I really appreciate your kindness!-Winnieswikiworld (talk)
Sometimes there are links like [[2016 Kaikōura earthquake|a magnitude 7.8 earthquake]] where although it is true that a macron has been removed, there are no words that should have a macron. If you are still interested in working on your monitor, then maybe it should check if the pipe creates a macronless word or not. ―Panamitsu(talk)05:25, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Cloventt,
I wanted to let you know that I just taggedMike Casey (entrepreneur) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you cancontest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note onmy talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Hello. You're invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It started today on Monday June 16 and will run until Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. Even if you can only manage a few articles they would be very much appreciated and help make the content produced as diverse and broad as possible! ♦Dr. Blofeld09:59, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure how applicable to your projects but I was curious at how many uploads I have done using various uploading tools and Quarry wasn't cutting it for querying user contributions, so I put together a simple python script here in case you want to adapt it for anything similar:https://github.com/bjhoareAM/CommonsContributionsFilter/tree/mainDactylantha (talk)10:36, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Cloventt, I just wanted to let you know that I haveadded theautopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in thenew pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have beenrequested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload ofnew page patrollers.
Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevantWikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, andincoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such asRater andStubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia'score content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become anew page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing!
BTW, I checked the last 10 pages that you created and they were all solid.Schwede6605:25, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not 100% sure whether mecreating a DYK nomination created a ping. In theory, it should (as it included your linked username and my signature), but I'm unsure whether that is also true for templates (which a DYK nomination is). Anyway, in case you didn't get pinged, here's a heads-up. Feel free to add other or a tweaked blurb.
BTW, it wasSpencer who suggested that Iconsider nominating at DYK.Schwede6609:14, 8 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I saw you hadstarted preparing a nomination for the current elections. You seem like a promising new face here :).
I just wanted to make you aware of some of the unspoken or semi-spoken expectations for candidates. You can find some good advice atWP:Advice for RfA candidates, which states that few people succeed with less than 10,000 edits of experience. You've achieved quite a lot in your 3,000 edits, including 2 GAs, so I imagine that you can pass with a lower number, but still, I don't think we've had somebody pass under 7,000 edits in recent years. Perhaps the next election is a better option. Up to you of course!
If you want to start helping more around deletion, you can ask for the NPP user right atWP:PERM/NPP. That way, you can get more experience with other elements of deletion such asWP:CSD tagging. If you go for that, feel free to ping me, as I've already had a look at your AfD record, and liked what I saw.—Femke 🐦 (talk)19:35, 10 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Cloventt, I just wanted to let you know that I have added thenew page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to thepage curation tools and can start patrolling pages from thenew pages feed. If you asked for this atrequests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.
This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance atWikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:
You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers atWikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone!—Femke 🐦 (talk)12:12, 12 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The discussion phase of the July 2025 administrator elections is officially open. As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:
We are currently in the discussion phase. The candidate subpages are open to questions and comments from everyone, in the same style as arequest for adminship. You may discuss the candidates atWikipedia:Administrator elections/July 2025/Discussion phase.
On July 23, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close again to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use theSecurePoll software to vote, which uses asecret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's totals during the election. You must beextended confirmed to vote.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which will last approximately four days, or perhaps a little longer. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on theresults page (you may want to watchlist this page) and transcluded to themain election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose), and must also have received a minimum of 20 support votes. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are nobureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").
Any questions or issues can be asked on theelection talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

... is miserable. You obviously want to drive me away. You use all the tricks from the book, to diminish my work and to insult me as a person. Can you please leave me alone .....!!!! If not, I will leave. I find it particularly nasty that after we had a debate in one article, you followed me to other articles.
