Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently editedIvan Mazepa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation pageRuthenian. Such links areusually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles.(Read theFAQ • Join us at theDPL WikiProject.)

Unfortunately, our disagreement is not limited to the ethnic attribution of some historical figures. By undoing my edit You successfully deleted a lot of information added by me to an article, which I am not going to restore for a second time, because I suspect by now that your aim is to keep the quality of Wikipedia articles related to a particular topic artificially low, so that eventually most of their content will be deleted. It is useless to edit an article if one's edits will be deleted anyway.

I see fromPortal talk:Current events/2025 February 27 that you've apparently given up on adding this holiday to the Current Events page. That's good, because you've already broken thethree revert rule a couple times over, so it's already within my discretion to block you from editing. I'm not doing that at this time.
Also, vandalism has aspecific meaning on Wikipedia, and "an unregistered user changed something I edited" does not fall into it. (Especiallywhen they're right.) Calling non-vandalism edits "vandalism" is a personal attack, which isalso blockable, so please, cut it out. —Cryptic10:50, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you have recently added mentions to the lead section of candidates for the 2025 Polish presidential election about their candidacy. I understand that this is a practice at the Polish Wikipedia, however in my opinion these mentions can be contrary with the English Wikipedia policy of what is noteworthy to put in the lead section of a biography in regards to most recent events, seeMOS:LEADBIO. Please note that the information about person standing in the election, becomes dated right after the election is over and has to be removed, as its not a major activity of the person (this is with exceptions, when the person became notable for standing for a specific election or repeatedly runs for an office, e.g. Szymon Hołownia who became notable in Polish politics when running for the office in 2020, or Rafał Trzaskowski who advanced to second round). Therefore I opt for removing these mentions from lead sections of Zandberg, Senyszyn or Biejat. —Antoni12345 (talk)13:23, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Bildete,
Thank you for creatingIvan Litvinchuk.
I have taggedthe page as having some issues to fix, as a part of ourpage curation process and note that:
Subject of article seems notable. More details are needed on fact " a war criminal" which is mentioned in lead. Article says he was imprisoned, but can more words be added that describe which sources conclude " a war criminal"? What words do the sources use? Which sources?
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with{{Re|Noleander}}. Remember to sign your reply with~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit theTeahouse.

You have recently edited a page related tothe Balkans or Eastern Europe, a topic designated ascontentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics anddoesnot imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to ascontentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by theArbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipediaadministrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should editcarefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topicsprocedures, you may ask them at thearbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topichere. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the{{Ctopics/aware}} template. Please also read the talk header section of pages in this topic area for possible additional information and editing restrictions. It does not appear that this notice has been posted to your talk page. If it has already been left already by another editor, please let me know. If you have questions, please request help at theTeahouse. // Timothy :: talk 00:54, 10 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have left a Contentious topics warning above. From this point on you will be expected to understand the special restrictions when editing topics related to Eastern Europe.
Re: Your inappropriate changes, slow moving edit war, and personal attacks on other editors.
On June 3 you made this change:[1], which was reverted. You made the same change on June 16[2], which again was reverted, then you again made the same change on June 22[3]. This is clearly a slow moving edit war and it needs to stop. Two other editors in addition to myself object to your changes. Before continuing editing you are strongly advised to readWikipedia:Edit warring and the special restrictions related to topics in Eastern Europe I placed above. Before making this change again, you need to gainWP:CONSENSUS for the change on the article talk page.
Regarding the source you use[4], this is a political statement on a government website; Wikipedia requiresneutral independent reliable sources. Before you continue editing please readWP:RS. Questions about this can be answered atWikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard.
I have also noticed you changed "massacre" to "genocide" in the template at[5]. The name of the article is clearlyMassacres of Poles in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia; the article discusses the claim that this constitutes genocide, but this is not the consensus of historians (outside of Poland). After being reverted you repeated this again at[6]. There is a significant difference between "massacre" to "genocide"; if you wish to make this significant change you will need to show there is a consensus of neutral independent reliable sources and a consensus of Wikipedia editors to make this change.
Finally also accuse another editor of being a sockpuppet in your edit summary at[7] and accuse other editors of genocide denial[8],[9].If you accuse any other editor of genocide denial, you will need very good evidence and be prepared to defend your comments atWP:ANI.
Again please read:WP:EW,WP:CONSENSUS,WP:RS,WP:NPOV and the special restrictions mentioned in the notice I placed above; if you have questions, post either toWP:TEAHOUSE or the appropriate notice board. Given your history of problematic editing (seeUser talk:Bildete), I would strongly suggest you read and follow these guidelines. After reviewing your edit history, I believe you should be blocked from editing articles related to Poland, Ukraine and genocide. In the event this problem continues this will be discussed atWP:ANI and you may be blocked from editing, either entirely or from the topics I mentioned.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did toUkrainian nobility of Galicia, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has someguidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name does not follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use thetest Wikipedia. Take a look at thewelcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.Moves of this page have been flagged as apotentially controversial move, therefore if you wish the title to be changed you need to start a formal discussion throughWP:RM. Thanks. — Amakuru (talk)10:36, 1 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did toFar-right politics in Ukraine. Doing so violates Wikipedia'sneutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you.TylerBurden (talk)17:33, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The articlePiotr Szczerek has beenproposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Do we really want an encyclopedia article about a stupid tennis fan? This guy's only claim to fame and inclusion was taking a hat from a boy in the crowd. Is that encyclopedic? Sounds more like tabloid fodder. 5 years from now this article will be ridiculous.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may bedeleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the{{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in youredit summary or onthe article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing{{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop theproposed deletion process, but otherdeletion processes exist. In particular, thespeedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, andarticles for deletion allows discussion to reachconsensus for deletion.

per BLPCRIME
Under thecriteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you maycontest the nomination byvisiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. They are surnames. DO not add "other" with titles that include the surname:[10] Even in disambig pages we do not include arbitrary titles, seeWP:PARTIAL. I included the square becaause it can be called simply "Szczepański". --Altenmann>talk17:35, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not put disambiguation pages into templates. It creates problems for wikipedia. You have to split name or surname pages out of disambig pages if you want to use tghem in surname templates.
By the way, I fail to see why you addedAnthos intoTemplate:Anton-surname: It does not list any surnames. --Altenmann>talk19:11, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
When you add the surname template, you have to remove all surnames of this type from the "See also", because they are already in the template and listing them in "See also" is redundant and confusing. --Altenmann>talk19:15, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not add into surname pages the items which are not obvious without references. It is not at all clear that "Antuna" is somehow related to Antonius. And the Lebanese surname Antun inFarah Antun is also of unknown origin. --Altenmann>talk19:26, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And FinnishAntonen is in no way related to Anton. --Altenmann>talk19:29, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Once again, if you do not know for sure the origin of a surname, do not try to guess from its spelling and do not list it. If you are really curious you can leave a question about surname origin in the surname talk page. --Altenmann>talk19:29, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please add template{{srt}} only to given name pages, because in includes the link{{starts with}}, which is useful only for first names, which can start article title. Everywhere else it only creaates clutter. --Altenmann>talk02:54, 14 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
