Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more ofyour recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made toThe Stranger (2025 film), did not appear to be constructive and have beenreverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with ourpolicies and guidelines. You can find information about these at ourwelcome page which also provides further information aboutcontributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please useyour sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message onmy talk page. | This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It doesnot imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date. You have shown interest in theRusso-Ukrainian War. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to imposecontentious topics restrictions—such asediting restrictions, bans, orblocks—on editors who do not strictly followWikipedia's policies, expectedstandards of behaviour, or thepage-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic. Additionally, the following restriction(s) apply to this topic area: - Onlyextended-confirmed editors may make edits related to the topic area, though editors who are not extended-confirmed may post constructive comments and makeedit requests related to articles within the topic area onarticle talk pages. Should disruption occur on article talk pages, administrators may take enforcement actions against disruptive editors and/or applypage protection on article talk pages. However, non-extended-confirmed editors maynot make edits to internal project discussions related to the topic area, even on article talk pages. Internal project discussions include, but are not limited to,Articles for deletion nominations,WikiProjects, requests for comment, requested moves, and noticeboard discussions.
For additional information, please see theguidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. |

- Note that you may not make edits such asthis due to the restriction.Mellk (talk)23:33, 8 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
- You are not even an admin though. What was wrong with my edit?Beykozian (talk)23:42, 8 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
- Anybody can place this alert. You are not permitted to make any edits related to the war, broadly construed, per the general sanctions.Mellk (talk)23:43, 8 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
- What? You took away my editing rights just because I put Ukraine next to Crimea? on what authority? if it was an admin alerting me I would have been more careful and wouldn't try a second edit, I thought you were a Russian nationalist or smth.
- Anyway..my past edits speak for themselves, I was never a troll. Where can I appeal to this ban?Beykozian (talk)23:48, 8 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
- I don't think you are a troll at all but if you check the notice above, onlyextended-confirmed editors may make edits related to the topic area. Unfortunately, until you are extended-confirmed, you are not able to make any edits related to the topic (there is no way to be granted an exception on this). You can still use the talk page to make suggestions.Mellk (talk)23:52, 8 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
- gotcha.Beykozian (talk)23:54, 8 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
- Glad you understand now, and apologies if I was not clear on this in the beginning.Mellk (talk)23:57, 8 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not adddefamatory content to Wikipedia, as you did toEkrem İmamoğlu, especially if it involvesliving persons. Your edits have beenreverted. Thank you.Fut.Perf.☼16:52, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
- I am a supporter of Imamoglu, what are you on?Beykozian (talk)16:55, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
- It needed some context since it just states the suspension, and no mention of him not being free for nearly year. Hence I provided it. Do not revert it or provide it yourself as a mod, I am Turkish through and through and I have the right to contribute to this free encyclopediaBeykozian (talk)17:01, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
- If you meant to be supportive of him, then you were choosing some highly unfortunate and wrong language in writing about him. This may of course well be a matter of poor command of English, but I thought I'd given you all the hints to explain the issue when I reverted you the last time. You claimed that he was "serving a jail time" for corruption charges. In English, "serving time" in jail means that you are serving a prison sentence imposed by a court that has sentenced you for a crime. So you were implicitly claiming he is already convicted and sentenced, which of course he isn't. Misinformation of this sort is a serious issue under ourpolicy on biographies of living people, so please be more careful.Fut.Perf.☼17:05, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
- Cheers. And it is not detention.Beykozian (talk)17:08, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
