Congratulations to another FA, and not a car ;) - Sorry, I meant to review, but am too late. I have a FAC open, in case of interest,BWV 79. - Thelast three stories were Bach'sMass in B minor (because I heard it), and two women! --Gerda Arendt (talk)20:24, 9 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Would you have time to look at my FAC forBWV 79 yesterday? - Scheduling for October began, and its 300th anniversary is on 31 October. 4 supports already. --Gerda Arendt (talk)12:00, 19 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Update: it's already scheduled, and still no FA. --Gerda Arendt (talk)21:13, 21 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry Gerda, but i feel that even if i had reviewed it the article wouldn't have been promoted in time750h+01:33, 22 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I think I was not clear. I is scheduled. It has four supports and probably needs a fifth, for formality. --Gerda Arendt (talk)05:44, 22 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Gerda i fully understand that and I can review it now but i still have a feeling that even if i had reviewed and supported it on the 19th the TFAs would still have been scheduled before your nomination got promoted750h+13:43, 22 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Nevermind, Wehwalt reviewed. --Gerda Arendt (talk)07:07, 23 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The Barnstar of Diligence
Congratulations on the promotion of Beyonce! I was overjoyed to see the article finally up to FA quality.PHShanghai | they/them (talk)05:00, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

What advice would you give for anyone (me lol) looking to bring a BLP article to FA? I'm interested in revampingMadonna especially but I would be interested how would you summarize the process of months of your laborious work :)PHShanghai | they/them (talk)05:00, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

much thanks for the barnstar! With Beyonce I did a full-scale revamp of that the article to make sure it was fully well written and i found SEVERAL grammatical issues along the way. also definitely make sure that you remove all findable cruft (specifically that which can be summarised in another article). make sure the article uses a good number of book/scholarly (The Wikipedia Library has several sources you can use within the article; thoughMadonna already seems to benefit from book/scholarly sources), andZ1720 was very helpful during the trimming process so you could consider asking him for a trim (if you need to). I largely took inspiration from a lot of already/recently promoted FAs (such asCher,Taylor Swift,Katy Perry, etc) when writing this, and also make sure to take it to peer review and get reviews from at least two people before taking it to FAC. regardless of if this is your first FA nomination or not given the length of the article the reviewers will do a spotcheck so make sure the sources verify what is said. Good luck with Madonna!750h+05:45, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) just curious, are you planning to takeRihanna to FAC as well? If so would you be open to having a co-nominator (myself) :P?Ippantekina (talk)11:11, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
i was actually! I stopped working on it but if you’d like i’d be glad to recontinue work on it.750h+11:23, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I would wanna make an apology to you. What I did was wrong, I shouldn’t have called you a racist. I get kinda mad when people say Beyonce didn’t have that ancestry cause of creole but, it doesn’t excuse my actions and my behavior. Let alone cyber bullying and harassment that I did, I do wanna ask you this question, why did you go on my other pages and start editing it?I am tryna just understand the situation. The Notorious B.I.G.

Hey, was just wondering which part of the MOS doesn’t allow for mention of a borough in birthplace parameter. New York City is a big place, I think it’s worth mentioning Brooklyn. Also, shouldn’t the state of California be mentioned as well? Every infobox I’ve come across mentions the state.GOAT Bones231012 (talk)02:36, 29 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

not one biography i can find mentions the borough, theinfobox person template says that it's always city, state, country (Omit unnecessary or redundant details. For example, it is not necessary to state: New York City, New York, United States when New York City, U.S. conveys essentially the same information more concisely.. also there's no point of including California link when it links to the same page.750h+02:51, 29 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Good prospect, but first thank you today forChris Pratt, "one of the world's most bankable, highest-grossing, and highest-paid film stars. You might know him for playing Star-Lord in the Marvel movies or for playing Owen in the Jurassic World franchise. Off-screen he has an extremely controversial public persona, and he is dubbed the worst Chris among the actors dubbed the "Hollywood Chrises", which in addition to Pratt includes Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pine, and Chris Evans."! - Today isAlain Altinoglu's 50th birthday, and have you seen an octobass? Your last chalamet edit

[edit]

Would you mind explaining your intentions? :)ChickpeaAnxiety (talk)09:51, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • this: we don't need two separate "main" headers when we can reduce repetition by including them in one. That's why we can put two or more articles in the "main" header.
  • this perMOS:DABLINK, "New York City" should not be linked
  • this: adding apostorphies doesn't make it encyclopedic language, honestly I think the word "lifelong" itself should be swapped out for a more neutral word
  • this: Heath Ledger is mentioned above, we don't need two mentions of the same thing
  • this: "one of the primary exponents of his generation" could be simplified and should be phrased less subjectively, also this is sourced to IMDb; also the roles are already spread throughout the lead.
  • this:WP:DUPLINK
I have kept 1-2 of your edits because they did help the article. However, if you could edit with these in mind that'd be helpful. Hope this helped!750h+10:08, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks :), but there are a few points I’mnot convinced about. I’m currently busy, so I’ll look into them later.
For instance, I disagree with the idea of leaving out the county in the infobox, seeMichael Jordan,Donald Trump, andElizabeth II. Manhattan is one of the most recognizable place names in the world; therefore, its status as a sub-city doesn’t make it unsuitable for inclusion in the infobox. There’s no style rule requiring its exclusion.
Likewise, I think it would be beneficial to list a couple of the actor’s most notable films in the first paragraph, as the current lead feels rather bland.ChickpeaAnxiety (talk)10:28, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'll deal with editing these later.
Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia! :)ChickpeaAnxiety (talk)10:30, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@ChickpeaAnxiety: thanks for the response. My responses:
None of those articles useTemplate:Infobox person. This does. Per the guildeline, it should "city, administrative region, country". However, it says that there is no point of including the admistrative region for New York, so it sohuld remain "New York City, US/U.S." Also you might notice that most articles pertaining to New York-births will usually simply say "New York City, US/U.S."
Also it does not matter if the lead is bland. It's supposed to be factual. That's the point of Wikipedia. All of the notable roles are mentioned throughout the lead, which is something you may notice with many other actor articles.

November music

[edit]
story ·music ·places

Today I remember a singer who impressed me on stage. - Repeating: you are invited toa peer review after FAC, - in a poll, you could simply mark yes or no for the four open questions. It's an experiment. The piece has its 300th anniversary on Christmas Day, and should be as good as possible by then. --Gerda Arendt (talk)21:29, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you today forAston Martin DB11, "about a gorgeous grand tourer, which is the successor to the Aston Martin DB9—the first FA I made."! - I'd be grateful if you'd look at the above, - some did, but more feedback, especially on the third (sources) question would be welcome. To look into it should take five minutes, -Dr. Blofeld tried it ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk)07:51, 15 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have three biographies on the main page today, missa fourth one, nominated a fifth, that means little time for other matters. If you have ten minutes, you might take a look at the four questions open from my last FAC (see above), and if you have only five minutes, question 3 about a book source would interest me most. My places now includeLa Scala, - see music, Verdi three times, and twice inmy story! --Gerda Arendt (talk)16:17, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for support in November! - OnSt. Cecilia's Day - patron saint of music - I remembera composition by Benjamin Britten, and havea woman on the main page who illustrated songs, with a sense of humour. --Gerda Arendt (talk)19:16, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I keep trying to get my Christmas present ready:Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Unser Mund sei voll Lachens, BWV 110/archive2. If you have the time, please check it out. I closed the PR where you said you'd comment. --Gerda Arendt (talk)18:04, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
