This new editor took the time and effort to become a proficient encyclopedic writers who combatssystemic bias and sheds light on perennially underrepresented topics. With less than a thousand edits they signed up for the 2024Developing Countries WikiContest and submitted a slew of new articles aboutabortion in African countries, five of which are nowgood articles. They have written on many other topics besides, includingquirky subreddits, musician BLPs, andcuisine under authoritarian regimes. This award celebrates their milestones. Hopefully, they will to continue their good work here for years to come.
I love writing Wikipedia articles, and my editing can be rather eclectic. My favorite topic to write about is internet culture (especially YouTubers), but I also work in topic areas like geography, food, and just anything I find interesting.
You may have seen me in events including:
WP:The Core Contest 2025, in which I won third place for improving the article on the city ofNiamey.
I think events like this are great and you should get involved with them!
Besides that, I just like to write articles about subjects that seem like someone should write about them. Or just articles that I think are funny: seer/BreadStapledToTrees,Pizza in North Korea,Jorts.
For your incredible coverage of abortion and abortion access in Africa.Yue🌙 22:05, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
The Editor's Barnstar
I came here to thank you forPizza in North Korea, which is a particularly fascinating and fun article, but it's crazy to see you're the person behindBill Wurtz! I love his music.
It is very nice to see a user that touches many different types of content on Wikipedia, so your works on various subjects from music to politics to religion should be commended simply for variety's sake.Panini!•🥪 01:35, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
