Hello I'm a Wikipedian editor and admin who lives inJedburgh in Scotland. I've worked as an engineer, an information technologist and lecturer. I worked for Rolls-Royce and co-wrote pantomimes.[1] I have spoken and trained about Wikipedia in several countries from Norway to Israel and in Monmouth, Gibraltar, most Universities in the East Midlands, Edinburgh Uni andUCI. I partnered in Joburgpedia and have written many articles about subjects in Nigeria, South Africa, Ecuador and Kenya. I took an interest in Malawi in 2025 and I joined theScotland Malawi Partnership and we persuaded them to change their licensing.[2] Other organisations are following in Scotland and Malawi.

I wrote an article about a woman every day and I achieved 600 days on 11 Aug 2024. I was at the Monthly Women in Red meetings in Edinburgh. Previously in 2020 I completed writing an article a day for almost a year. My first run of oneevery day started on 22 March 2020 as the first? UK lockdown started 2,159 days ago and lasted for ~360 days. In August 2021I spoke at Wikimania 2021. (My ''Fourth'' virtual appearance at a Wikimania).

... would you believe ....the Capitol Hill choir sang Happy Birthday Women in Red! Wooooo! and I'm told I was the only bloke speaking at WikiWomen 2025 in Nairobi.

I've spoken about Wikipedia related projects in Israel,[7] Europe, America and Africa. I organised noted editathons at the Pankhurst centre.[8] In July 2025 I had written2858 articles about women. In Feb 2025 I completed a year-long challenge to complete an article about a woman from every country in the world.

I have worked onQRpedia projects in Derby, Monmouth, Johannesburg, Bremen, Toodyay, Fremantle, Odessa (etc) and in 2025 I'm still working on Women in Red.[9] For Ada Lovelace Day I was involved with a 24 hour editathon at AdaWiki24.org which was based in Aus, Kenya, NZ, Pakistan, UK, USA covered by several news outlets.[10][11][12]
