Hi, I'm Pi.1415926535. I mostly edit about US transportation history, largely New England (especially theMBTA), the San Francisco Bay Area, andAmtrak. If you've got a question about transportation in the US, I can probably help, and I'm happy to search mypersonal collection and provide scans. I have alist of open questions in my research, for which any help is greatly appreciated.
My philosophy is to always edit with the aim of getting an article toGA status. Most of the articles I've gotten to GA have been railroad stations, though I've tackled a few larger topics like theSilver Line andGreen Line Extension, and even a person (Marie Wittman) and a river (Stony Brook). I'm a fan of the weird and obscure topics; my GA credits includea station with no platforms,an experimental subway car,a long-gone streetcar line, andAmtrak paint schemes. I'm very grateful for those who have reviewed my GA nominations; I'm attempting to review as many articles by others as others have reviewed of mine.
I edit a lot, mostly content and some templates. I hit10,000 edits on December 16, 2015, and 10 years on July 6, 2016; as of 2024, I'm north of 45,000 edits and 18 years. I edit even more onCommons, where I do a mixture of uploading my own photos, category creation, and grabbing public domain images from other sources. I am an administrator on Commons; I am anew page patroller andtemporary account IP viewer (not an admin) on enwiki.
And not so useful stuff
