Hi, I'm an Englishman now living inNew Jersey.
Most of my time on Wikipedia has been concentrated onsumo, with the help of my colleagues onWikiProject Sumo. I'm particularly interested in improving the biographies of sumo wrestlers, both past and present, as there were few such articles when I began editing in November 2006. We now have articles on everyyokozuna and allactive wrestlers who have top division experience. I tend to focus my writing on biographies; my very first wasAsahifuji Seiya. Other sumo-related articles I've written includeList of sumo record holders (I love stats) and a series onyears in sumo. For my full list of articles created, see here.
I also contribute tochess articles. I played fairly regularly for a club when I lived in London and have quite a few chess books. Biographies and World Championship matches are of most interest to me. So far my biggest contribution has probably been creatingMy 60 Memorable Games.
I also keep an eye onDoctor Who as I am a big fan. My other interests includeThe Beatles,Bob Dylan, tennis andsnooker.
I have brought two articles toWP:Good Article status,Takanohana Kōji andAsashōryū Akinori. I startedLittle Red Rooster which is now a Good Article, although I cannot claim credit for that :)
I see myself primarily as a "content creator" but I am a regular atWikipedia:In the news/Candidates, I participate semi-regularly toWikipedia:Article for deletion, and take a keen interest inWikipedia:Requests for Adminship. My very first edit toWikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard was toaccidentally roll back another editor's comment, but I'm hoping I can overcome that inauspicious debut and perhaps contribute in a helpful way to future discussions.
PerWP:VALIDALT, I have createdUser:StumpyOlegMcNoleg (aBlackadder reference) just so I can see things from a new user’s perspective on occasion (specifically, see what non-autoconfirmed users see and can edit). There is also an account calledPawnking3 but this is not me.
