Upper Sackville is a Canadiansuburban community inHalifax,Nova Scotia, Canada. Before European colonization, the land was inhabited for thousands of years by theMi'kmaq. Later, the community was named afterGeorge Germain, 1st Viscount Sackville.
Upper Sackville is situated in theSackville River valley immediately north ofMiddle Sackville and south ofMount Uniacke onTrunk 1. It is approximately 35 km (22 mi) by road fromDowntown Halifax.[1]
