TheUnteraargletscher (German:[ˈʊntəraːrˌglɛtʃər]), literally "LowerAare-Glacier", is the larger of the two sources of theAare river in theBernese Alps. It emerges from the association of the Finsteraargletscher (near theFinsteraarhorn) and the Lauteraargletscher (near theLauteraarhorn) and flows for about 6 km (3.7 mi) to the east down to theGrimselsee near theGrimsel Pass.
