United States Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution

TheSenate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution is one of eight subcommittees within theSenate Judiciary Committee. The subcommittee was best known in the 1970s as the committee ofSam Ervin, whose investigations and lobbying — together withFrank Church and theChurch Commission — led to the passage of theForeign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
