Ungeremine is abetaine-typealkaloid isolated fromNerine bowdenii[1] and related plants such asPancratium maritimum.[2] Pharmacologically, it is of interest as anacetylcholinesterase inhibitor and accordingly as possibly relevant toAlzheimer's disease.[3] It also has been investigated as abactericide.[2]
