Umm al-Qutuf (Arabic:أمّ القـُطـُف;Hebrew:אֻם אל-קֻטוּף) is anArab village in northern Israel. Located inthe triangle, it falls under the jurisdiction ofMenashe Regional Council. In 2023 it had a population of 1,237.[2]
Pottery remains from theHellenistic,[3]Roman,[3][4] andByzantine eras have been found here,[3][4][5] as have pottery remains from the earlyMuslim and the Middle Ages.[3]
In 1882, thePEF'sSurvey of Western Palestine (SWP) found atKh. Umm el Kutuf only "ruined walls."[6]
British Mandate era
[edit]In the1922 census of Palestine, conducted by theBritish Mandate authorities,Kherbet Umm al-Qatuf had a population of 11 Muslims.[7]
