TheUinta River (historically also spelledUintah River) is a tributary of theDuchesne River flowing throughDuchesne andUintah counties inUtah, United States.[1] Originating in theUinta Mountains, the river flows southeast for about 60 miles (97 km)[2] to join the Duchesne nearRandlett. The Uinta is an important source of water for local irrigation. Its tributaries include theWhiterocks River, which joins it nearWhiterocks, and the Dry Gulch Creek nearFort Duchesne.
