Uaçá River is a river ofAmapá state inBrazil. It is a tributary of theOiapoque River.
The area is inhabited by theGalibi Marworno, also called the Uaçá Galibi. They are a mixture ofGalibi who fled fromFrench Guiana, andAruã who fled from the islandMarajó. In the 1930, theIndian Protection Service (SPI) founded the village Santa Maria dos Galibis (now calledKumarumã) for them on in island in the river.[1][2]
