
TheUnited Nations University Office at UNESCO serves as academic interface between theUnited Nations University (UNU) and itsInstitutes andUNESCO and its Permanent Delegations[1] inParis, France. The UNU Office atUNESCO also develops contacts between UNU and otherParis-based international organisations as well withFrenchacademia.
The aim of the UNU Office atUNESCO is to make UNU astakeholder and a full-fledged partner of theUNESCO system and the diplomatic environment inParis.The Office seeks to strengthen existing cooperation and to explore potential joint projects in areas of mutual interest to the two organisations.
To this end, the UNU Office atUNESCO organises public events aimed at presenting UNU's activities. It represents UNU at meetings ofUNESCO, particularly the spring session of the Executive Board[2] and the General Conference,[3] major world conferences as well as more informal meetings.
