The event marked the promotion's first visit to Denmark marking the 25th country.[2]
A middleweight bout betweenJack Hermansson andJared Cannonier served as the event headliner.[4]
Danny Henry was briefly linked to a featherweight bout withMike Davis at the event.[5] However, Henry pulled out of the bout for undisclosed reasons in mid-September. In turn, Davis was pulled from the card and is expected to be rescheduled for a future event.[6]
FormerUFC Welterweight Championship challengerThiago Alves was scheduled to faceGunnar Nelson at the event. However, Alves pulled out of the fight in mid-September due to an undisclosed injury.[7] He was replaced byGilbert Burns.[8]
A middleweight bout betweenAlessio Di Chirico andPeter Sobotta was scheduled for the event.[9] However, Sobotta was forced out of the bout and was replaced by promotional newcomerMakhmud Muradov.[10]
