A women’s strawweight bout betweenAmanda Ribas and formerInvicta FC Strawweight ChampionAngela Hill was originally expected to take place atUFC on ESPN: Rodriguez vs. Waterson, but it was postponed due to Ribastesting positive for COVID-19.[4] They were then expected to meet at this event.[5] Two weeks later, the pairing was scrapped once again as Ribas was still suffering from lingeringCOVID-19 symptoms.[6]
Alessio Di Chirico was expected to faceRoman Dolidze in a middleweight bout at the event.[7] However, Di Chirico pulled out of the contest in mid-May due to an injury.[8] He was replaced byLaureano Staropoli.[9]
A middleweight bout betweenDuško Todorović andMaki Pitolo was expected to take place at this event.[10] However, Pitolo pulled out due to an injury.[11][6] Todorović faced promotional newcomerGregory Rodrigues instead.[12]
Nate Landwehr andMakwan Amirkhani were expected to meet in a featherweight contest.[13] Due to an injury, Landwehr pulled out of the bout and was replaced promotional newcomer by Kamuela Kirk.[6][14]
Maryna Moroz andManon Fiorot were expected to meet in the women's flyweight division.[15] However, Moroz withdrew from the event due to undisclosed reasons and was replaced by newcomerTabatha Ricci.[16]
A middleweight bout betweenTom Breese andAntônio Arroyo was expected to open the main card, but it was cancelled just before taking place as Breese was dealing with undisclosed medical issues.[17][18]
