Background

After contesting several otherPPV and Fight Night events acrossTexas, this was the first that the promotion has hosted inHidalgo.[3]

A lightweight bout betweenDustin Poirier andMichael Johnson served as the event headliner.[4]

Manvel Gamburyan was scheduled to faceAlejandro Pérez at the event. However, Gamburyan pulled out of the fight in mid-August for undisclosed personal reasons and was replaced byAlbert Morales.[5]

Abel Trujillo was expected to faceEvan Dunham at the event. However, Trujillo pulled out of the fight on September 5, citing an undisclosed injury.[6] In turn, formerWSOF Featherweight Champion and promotional newcomerRick Glenn was announced as his replacement.[7]
