A women's strawweight bout between formerUFC Women's Strawweight ChampionJéssica Andrade andAmanda Lemos headlined the event.[3][4]
A women's flyweight bout betweenMontana De La Rosa andMaycee Barber was expected to take place atUFC 269, but it was postponed due to De La Rosa getting injured.[5] They met at this event instead.[6]
A heavyweight bout betweenTanner Boser andRodrigo Nascimento was scheduled for the event.[7] However, Nascimento withdrew from the event for unknown reasons and was replaced byAlexander Romanov.[8] In turn, Boser tweeted on April 18 that he was out of the fight due to an injury.[9] He was replaced byChase Sherman.[10] Subsequently, Sherman was deemed unable to compete due to a minor health issue on the day of the event and the fight was pushed backa week.[11]
A middleweight bout betweenJordan Wright andRoman Kopylov was expected for the event.[12] However, Kopylov withdrew for medical reasons and was replaced byMarc-André Barriault in a catchweight of 190 pounds.[13]
Damir Hadžović was expected to meetSteve Garcia in a lightweight bout at the event.[14] However, Hadžović pulled out due to allegedvisa issues which restricted his travel.[15]
Louis Cosce and Preston Parsons were expected to meet in a welterweight bout at the event.[16] However, Cosce announced his withdrawal from the event on April 16 aftertesting positive for COVID-19.[17] He was replaced by Evan Elder.[18]
A flyweight bout between formerRizin Bantamweight ChampionManel Kape andSu Mudaerji was expected to take place at the event.[19] However, just two days before the event, Kape withdrew for personal reasons and the bout was scrapped.[20]
