AUFC Light Heavyweight Championship bout between current championGlover Teixeira and formerRizin Light Heavyweight ChampionJiří Procházka was originally expected to take place atUFC 274, but it was eventually moved to headline this event due to undisclosed reasons.[4]
AUFC Women's Flyweight Championship bout between current championValentina Shevchenko andTaila Santos took place at the event.[5]
A women's strawweight rematch between formerUFC Women's Strawweight ChampionsZhang Weili andJoanna Jędrzejczyk took place at the event.[6] The pair previously met atUFC 248 where Zhang successfully defended the championship against Jędrzejczyk by split decision.[7]

Kang Kyung-ho and Saimon Oliveira were scheduled to meet in a bantamweight bout at this event.[14] However, Oliveira withdrew for unknown reasons and was replaced byDanaa Batgerel.[15]
A flyweight bout between formerRizin Bantamweight ChampionManel Kape andRogério Bontorin was expected to take place at the event.[16] However, the bout was scrapped the day before the event due to Bontorin suffering kidney issues related to cutting weight.[17]
During fight week (June 9-10), the UFC hosted the opening quarterfinal round ofRoad to UFC Season 1 at the same venue, with two five-bout events for each day for a total of 10 bouts per day.
