UFC 255: Figueiredo vs. Perez was amixed martial arts event produced by theUltimate Fighting Championship that took place on November 21, 2020 at theUFC Apex facility inEnterprise, Nevada, part of theLas Vegas Metropolitan Area, United States.[2][3]

Background

AUFC Flyweight Championship bout between current championDeiveson Figueiredo and formerUFC Bantamweight ChampionCody Garbrandt was expected to serve as the event headliner.[2] However, it was announced on October 2 that Garbrandt pulled out due to a torn bicep and was replaced byAlex Perez, who was already scheduled to faceBrandon Moreno at the event.[4][5] Moreno facedBrandon Royval instead.[6]

AUFC Women's Flyweight Championship bout between current championValentina Shevchenko andJennifer Maia co-headlined the event.[2]

John Allan and Roman Dolidze were originally scheduled to meet at this event in a light heavyweight bout.[7] They were eventually rescheduled forUFC on ESPN: Hermansson vs. Vettori in December.[8]

FormerUFC Welterweight ChampionRobbie Lawler was expected to faceMike Perry at this event. However, Lawler pulled out of the fight in late October citing an undisclosed injury.[9] He was replaced byTim Means.[10]

A welterweight bout between Orion Cosce andNicolas Dalby was expected to take place at this event.[11] However, Cosce pulled out on November 12 due to undisclosed reasons and was replaced byDaniel Rodriguez.[12]

At the weigh-ins, Perry weighed in at 175.5 pounds, four and a half pounds over the welterweight non-title fight limit. His bout proceeded at a catchweight and he was fined 30% of his individual purse, which went to his opponent Tim Means.[13]
