Tyrone Cash (Leonard Williams) is acharacter appearing inAmerican comic books published byMarvel Comics. The character is depicted in theUltimate Marvel universe, where he is a member ofThe Ultimates and is described as beingThe FirstHulk prior toBruce Banner.[1]
Tyrone Cash first appeared inUltimate Comics: Avengers Vol. 2 #7 and was created byMark Millar andLeinil Francis Yu.
Leonard Williams was aprofessor atCambridge University who worked with a youngBruce Banner to recreate theSuper-Soldier Serum, becoming a mentor to him. Williams disappears in an unexplained occurrence in which several people are killed, and comes to be considered a missing person.[2]
Unbeknownst to the public, Williams survived, became the first Hulk, and assumed the identity of Tyrone Cash, killing numerous people throughout Africa and Asia before becoming a gangster in South America. During this time,S.H.I.E.L.D. monitors him and eventually recruits him into theUltimates.[1][3]
S.H.I.E.L.D. later discovers that Cash has been selling Super-Soldiers on theblack market.Blade defeats and depowers him before bringing him to theHelicarrier, whereNick Fury kills him.[4][5]
Using a pill that contains a perfected version of his Hulk Serum, Tyrone Cash has immense strength, stamina, durability, and speed, as well as regenerative capabilities, which are similar to those from the Hulk. Cash also has shown to be a very skilled scientist.
An alternate universe variant of Tyrone Cash from Earth-15513 appears inSecret Wars as a member of theThor Corps onBattleworld.[6]
