Andre Rebelo (born March 23, 1992), also known asTypical Gamer , is a CanadianYouTuber , streamer, and professionalFortnite player.
Andre Rebelo was born on March 23, 1992, inToronto ,Canada .[ 1] He has a brother, Billy, who came up with the name for his channel.[ 2] He dropped out of college twice before starting a channel.[ 3]
Rebelo created hisYouTube channel in August 2008. His first video was gameplay of the video gameRed Dead Redemption . He initially gained popularity through his videos ofGrand Theft Auto .[ 2]
Rebelo is a professionalFortnite player, playing in weekly tournaments, competitive tournaments, and nearly qualifying for theFortnite World Cup in 2019.[ 4]
In 2020, Rebelo signed an exclusive streaming deal with YouTube, and in celebration, donated $10,000 to theExtra Life charity.[ 5] [ 6] In 2023, he started an advertising and brand partnership with Studio71.[ 7] In May 2024, Rebelo launched JOGO, a studio for theUnreal Editor forFortnite , with a $2 million commitment.[ 8] [ 9] He became the first creator onFortnite Creative to reach 1 million followers in April 2025.[ 10] [ 11] [ 12] [ 13]
