The Twitchell 12 is a recreationalsailing dinghy, built predominantly offiberglass, with wood trim. It has afractionalsloop rig with ajibboom, araked stem, areverse transom, a transom-hungrudder controlled by a cockpitjoystick and a retractabledaggerboard. It displaces 165 lb (75 kg).[1][2]
The boat has a draft of 2.00 ft (0.61 m) with the daggerboard extended and 6 in (15 cm) with it retracted, allowing operation in shallow water,beaching or ground transportation on atrailer.[1][2]
