The Outrunners are an Americanprofessional wrestling tag team consisting ofTruth Magnum andTurbo Floyd .[ 1] All Elite Wrestling (AEW), and also wrestle for its sister promotionRing of Honor (ROH).[ 2] [ 3] National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) as well as several regional promotions on theindependent circuit , such asOhio Valley Wrestling (OVW).[ 4] [ 5] [ 6] 1980s wrestlers.
[ edit ] The Outrunners made theirAll Elite Wrestling (AEW) debut on September 8, 2021, onAEW Dark: Elevation The Butcher And The Blade .[ 7]
Starting in the fall of 2024, The Outrunners became regulars on AEW television, mainly appearing onCollision FTR .[ 8] Full Gear , The Outrunners participated in afour-way tag team match for theAEW World Tag Team Championships , but were unsuccessful.[ 9] Revolution , The Outrunners unsuccessfully challengedThe Hurt Syndicate for the tag titles.[ 10]
Professional wrestling style and persona [ edit ] The team's gimmick is that they are presented as1980s throwback wrestlers, including wearing gear and using moves in the style of that era, and filming vignettes using aVHS video camera . Their entrances are also presented in a VHS-esque aesthetic. Their popularity made them one of AEW's top merchandise sellers in August 2024.[ 11]
