Tunis University (Arabic:جامعة تونس, French:Université de Tunis) is apublic university inTunis, Tunisia. It was founded in 1960 on the basis of earlier educational establishments.

The University of Tunis is a member of theMediterranean University Union (UNIMED) and ofAgence universitaire de la Francophonie.

Preparatory Engineering Institute

TheTunis Preparatory Engineering Institute (Arabic:المعهد التّحضيري للدّراسات الهندسيّة بتونس) was created according to the law N°95-40 on 24 April 1995.[5]
