Tumbler Ridge Secondary School (TRSS) is a publicsecondary school inTumbler Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. TRSS is operated bySchool District 59 Peace River South and is the designated secondary school for the town's primary school. TRSS is a participant in the school district's International Student Study Program.[2] For the 2025/2026 school year, the school has an enrollment of 191 students fromgrades 7 to 12.[1]
On February 10, 2026, aformer student opened fire at the school with amodified handgun and along gun after killing her mother and step-brother at their home in Tumbler Ridge.[3][4][5] The shooting resulted in the deaths of five students and an education assistant at the school and injuries to 27 other people, before the shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.[6][7][8][9]
