Tufahije (singular:tufahija) is adessert made ofwalnut-stuffedapples poached in sugar water. It is very popular inBosnia and Herzegovina,Serbia,Bulgaria, andCroatia.

TheBulgarianpechani yabalki are also stuffed with walnuts, but are usuallybaked, not poached.[1]

Serving

Tufahije is served in large glasses with their own glazed syrup andwhipped cream on top.[2] It is usually accompanied by coffee.[3]
