Tucuruvi is a district located in the North Zone of themunicipality ofSão Paulo,Brazil.
The name "Tucuruvi" comes from theTupi language and means "green grasshopper", through the combination of the termstukura (grasshopper) andoby (green).[1]
Tucuruvi is served byTucuruvi Station onLine 1 (Blue) of theSão Paulo Metro.[2]
