Levi Rolla Cooper[2] (born July 24, 1990)[3] is an American retiredprofessional wrestler. He is best known for his tenure inWWE, where he performed under the ring nameTucker.[1] After signing with WWE in 2013, he was assigned to theirdevelopmental brandNXT, under the ring nameTucker Knight. He is best known for his partnership withOtis, as part ofHeavy Machinery. He was promoted to WWE's main roster in 2019, and disbanded in 2020 as a result of theWWE Draft.

Early life

Cooper attendedNorth Marion High School where he was a successfulamateur wrestler. He wrestled at collegiate level forPortland State University,California State University, Bakersfield andArizona State University, and placed 8th at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in 2011, earning himAll-America status.[4] At ASU, he earned a degree in accounting from theW. P. Carey School of Business.[5]

Professional wrestling career

In 2013, after graduating college, Cooper signed a contract withWWE and was assigned to theWWE Performance Center, where he took thering nameTucker Knight.[6] He made hisprofessional wrestling debut at anNXTlive event inStarke, Florida on January 24, 2015, facingTye Dillinger in a match that resulted in ano contest.[7] He made his television debut on the July 1 episode ofNXT, working as anenhancement talent in a loss toBaron Corbin.[6] Knight continued to make sporadic televised appearances as an enhancement talent throughout the remainder of 2015 and the start of 2016.[8][9][10]

In July 2016, Knight formed a tag team withOtis Dozovic, calling themselvesHeavy Machinery.[11] The duo participated in theDusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament, and they made their television debut on the October 19 episode ofNXT, losing to the team ofAustin Aries andRoderick Strong.[12] The duo returned and had their first televised victory on the March 29, 2017 episode ofNXT, defeating the team of Jonathan Ortagun andMike Marshall.[13] On the July 12 episode ofNXT, Heavy Machinery unsuccessfully challenged TheAuthors of Pain (Akam andRezar) for theNXT Tag Team Championship.[14] In March 2018, Heavy Machinery once again participated in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament, but were eliminated by TheStreet Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) in the first round.[15] At theGreatest Royal Rumble event on April 27, 2018, Knight made his first televised main roster appearance, entering theRoyal Rumble match at number 24 and eliminatingDrew Gulak before being eliminated byBig E.[16] On the December 19 episode ofNXT, Heavy Machinery wrestled their final match onNXT, defeating Blake Howell and Danny D'Accardo.[17]

On December 17, 2018, it was announced that Heavy Machinery would be debuting on the main roster.[18] They debuted on the January 14, 2019 episode ofRaw, interrupting an interview betweenAlexa Bliss andPaul Heyman.[19] The following week onRaw, they defeatedThe Ascension (Konnor andViktor) in their in-ring debut.[20] In February, his ring name was shortened toTucker, while Dozovic's ring name was shortened to Otis.[21] The duo made theirpay-per-view debut atWrestleMania 35, where they both competed in theAndré the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, but neither would win the match.[22] As part of theSuperstar Shake-Up, Heavy Machinery was moved to theSmackDownbrand.[23] AtStomping Grounds on June 23, Heavy Machinery facedDaniel Bryan andRowan for theSmackDown Tag Team Championship, but were unable to win the titles.[24] The following month atExtreme Rules, Heavy Machinery again competed for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, this time in atriple threat tag team match involving Bryan and Rowan, andThe New Day (Big E andXavier Woods), which The New Day won.[25] AtCrown Jewel on October 31, Heavy Machinery competed in atag team turmoil match, but were eliminated by The New Day.[26] AtSurvivor Series, Heavy Machinery participated in an interbrand tag team battle royal, which was won byDolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.[27] AtElimination Chamber on March 8, 2020, Heavy Machinery competed in thenamesake match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, where the championsJohn Morrison and the Miz retained.[28][29]

AtMoney in the Bank, Otis, won theMoney in the Bank ladder match, earning him aworld title match at the time of his choosing.[30][31] In September, The Miz and John Morrison tried to steal Otis' Money in the Bank contract, but they failed on multiple attempts.[32][33] During the2020 WWE Draft, Otis remained on the SmackDown brand, while Tucker was drafted to theRaw brand.[34][35] The trial over the Money in the Bank contract commenced on the October 23 episode ofSmackDown, withJohn "Bradshaw" Layfield serving as judge and ordering that Otis would defend his Money in the Bank contract against Miz atHell in a Cell.[36] At the event, Tucker betrayed Otis by hitting him with the briefcase, thus turningheel and disbanding Heavy Machinery.[37]

On the November 9 episode ofRaw, Tucker won theWWE 24/7 Championship to claim his first championship within the company, but quickly lost it toGran Metalik seconds later.[38] He did not reappear on television until the April 9, 2021 episode ofSmackDown, where he competed in theAndré the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.[39] On April 15, Tucker was released from his WWE contract.[40]

Independent circuit (2022–2024)

After being released from WWE, Cooper continued wrestling on theindependent circuit under his real name, before announce his retirement from professional wrestling on October 30, 2024.[41]

Tucker made hisvideo game debut as a playable character inWWE 2K19and has since appeared inWWE 2K20,[42]WWE 2K Battlegrounds, and inWWE 2K22.[43]

Personal life

Cooper is married and the couple have a daughter born June 2018.[44] Cooper is now a wrestling coach atSkyview High School in Vancouver, Washington.[45]
