Japanese anime director (born 1941)

Tsutomu Shibayama (芝山努,Shibayama Tsutomu; born 9 March 1941) is a Japaneseanime director of film and television. He started as a manga artist under the name Hajime Sanjō and later became known for directing manyDoraemonTV anime episodes (1984-2005) andfeature films (1983–2004). He was born inAsakusa,Taitō, Tokyo.

In 2012 he received theAgency for Cultural Affair Award for his work in animation.[1]
