Trinidad Lake State Park is astate park 4 miles (6.4 km) west ofTrinidad, Colorado, United States. The park protects Trinidad Lake, a dammedreservoir. There are hiking trails, and camping and boating opportunities.[2] The park features historical attractions such as thecoal mining ruins atCokedale. An exposure of theCretaceous–Paleogene boundary (K–Pg boundary) is visible in the southern part of the park.
A portion of the mountain route of theSanta Fe Trail runs through the park.
