Trichur V. Ramachandran(born 1940) is aCarnatic music vocalist. He received the most prestigious award ofMadras Music Academy'sSangeetha Kalanidhi in 2012 from theMadras Music Academy.[1][2]

He was born in 1940 inThrissur,Cochin State. He gave his first concert at the age of 14 and was a disciple ofG. N. Balasubramaniam.[3][4][5] Later he underwent training underM L Vasanthakumari as part of an Indian government Cultural Scholarship.[1] Ramachandran marriedCharumathi in 1973.

Ramachandran is recipient ofSangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2003.[6] He also received thePadma Bhushan award from theGovernment of India in 2003.[7] He also received the title ofSangeetha Choodamani bySri Krishna Gana Sabha in 2001. Among plenty of titles and accolades, he is also the recipient of theKerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award in 1987[8] and Vidhya Tapasvi title from TAPAS Cultural Foundation in 2009.[1][9][10]
