Raymontre "Trey" Palmer (born April 2, 2001) is an American professionalfootballwide receiver for theNew Orleans Saints of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football for theLSU Tigers andNebraska Cornhuskers. He was selected by theTampa Bay Buccaneers in the sixth round of the2023 NFL draft.
Palmer attendedKentwood High Magnet School inKentwood, Louisiana, where he played wide receiver andsafety.[1] He committed toLouisiana State University (LSU) to playcollege football.[2][3][4]
Palmer played at LSU from 2019 to 2021, totaling 41 receptions for 458 yards and three touchdowns across 28 games.[5][6] He transferred to theUniversity of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2022.[7][8][9] In his final game againstIowa, he caught nine passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns to set the single-season record for most receiving yards (1,043) and total receptions (71) by a Nebraska wide receiver.[10]

TheTampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Palmer in the sixth round of the2023 NFL draft with the 191st overall pick.[13] He debuted in Week 1 against theMinnesota Vikings, hauling in a 7-yard touchdown catch in the 20–17 win.[14] Palmer finished his rookie season with 39 receptions for 385 yards and three touchdowns.[15] In his team's Wild Card round victory over thePhiladelphia Eagles in the2023–24 NFL playoffs, he scored his first postseason touchdown on a 56-yard reception.[16]
On August 26, 2025, Palmer was waived by the Buccaneers as part of final roster cuts.[17]
On August 27, 2025, Palmer was claimed off waivers by theNew Orleans Saints.[18] He did not appear in a game for New Orleans before he was placed oninjured reserve due to hamstring and ankle injuries on October 4.[19]
