Trenza, meaningbraid inSpanish, is a braided pastry (pan trenza) or bread (trenza de brioche)[1][2][3][4] that can contain fruit or other fillings.[5] InColombian cuisine, a trenza of cheese and guava is traditional. InSpain'sAragon community, the traditional style istrenza de Almudevar,[6] with nuts, raisins, walnuts and almonds, and is a signature product of theTolosana bakeries.[6] In Spain,trenzas glaseadas (glazed trenzas) are also served.
