Trailer Park Boys: The Animated Series is a Canadianadult animatedsitcom created byJohn Paul Tremblay,Robb Wells, andMike Smith. The series is aspin-off and sequel to the 2001 televisionmockumentary comedy series,Trailer Park Boys, itself a sequel toMike Clattenburg's 1999 film of the same name.
Picking up after the events of the original series'twelfth season,The Animated Series continues to follow the misadventures of a group oftrailer park residents, some of whom areex-convicts, living in the fictional Sunnyvale Trailer Park inDartmouth, Nova Scotia.
The series premiered onNetflix on March 31, 2019.[1] A second season was released on May 22, 2020.[2]
John Dunsworth posthumously appears in the series asJim Lahey,[3] with his daughterSarah Dunsworth-Nickerson stating onTwitter that excerpts of her father's actual voice were used in the series.[4]
