Tracey Moore (born January 17, 1960) is a Canadian voice actress and director. She is most noted as the voice ofPrincess Toadstool inThe Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 andSuper Mario World, and the singing voice of Strawberry Shortcake inStrawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures.
She began her career primarily in musical theatre roles, most notably playingAnne Shirley in productions ofAnne of Green Gables: The Musical in the 1980s.[1] She has also had occasional live-action film roles, most notably in the 1990 filmDefy Gravity;[2] she was aGenie Award nominee forBest Supporting Actress at the13th Genie Awards in 1992.[3]
Moore was also briefly the voice ofSerena/Sailor Moon in the North American version of the animeSailor Moon for 13 consistent episodes (beforeTerri Hawkes was the established voice for the titular character) as well as the voices ofMarvel characters inX-Men: The Animated Series, the Dryad inAnne of Green Gables: The Animated Series, the titular character inGeorge Shrinks, and Ned Flemkin inNed's Newt.
Moore toured in the United States playingDorothy oppositePhyllis Diller'sWicked Witch of the West inThe Wizard of Oz. She resides inVictoria,British Columbia, with her daughter.
